After dinner, I ask to speak to Mrs. Susan alone. Once we're in a private room, I begin,
"Mrs. Susan, I need to talk to you about Margaret."
She looks at me, her expression curious.
"What about her, dear?"
I take a deep breath, trying to organize my thoughts.
"Margaret... I know her from my past. She used to come around my home when I was growing up. But she doesn't seem to remember me, and it's unsettling."
Mrs. Susan's face remains calm, but her eyes show a hint of surprise.
"Oh, I see. Margaret has always had a sharp memory, as far as I know. She doesn't forget things easily."
"That's what worries me."
I admit.
"I expected her to remember me, but she called me by a name I don't recognize. It doesn't add up."
Mrs. Susan nods thoughtfully.
"It was Margaret's idea to accompany me here. She insisted on it, actually. When I momentarily forgot to ask you, she's the one who reminded me."
