We went home early today because we are preparing for Candy's birthday celebration party this weekend.
I get out of the car , and we are now walking towards the entrance. Candy is singing her favourite song , I'm just laughing at how off tune she is.
My phone rings , it's Megan.
"Hey Meg."
"Ma'am , I am so sorry…"
"About what? Is everything okay?"
She looks terrible and terrified , what is going on with her?
The atmosphere shifts, and an eerie feeling settles over us. Candy is now right next to me. Suddenly, the video call freezes, and a chill runs down my spine.
Before I can even react, the screen goes black, leaving us in stunned silence.
Candy and I exchange worried glances, unsure of what just happened.
"Did you see that?"
Candy asks, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Yeah, something's not right."
I reply, my heart pounding in my chest.
"I don't like this one bit."
