The day was one like every other. Well, except that today the meet and greet with her favourite author is happening. The author of her favourite series is not only meeting fans but also revealing her face for the first time!
You may think: Isn't it weird for the most famous villain to read books? And then it isn't even a bloody thriller one, but a simple romance? Well, it indeed is.
Ramina has always loved things that were impossible (in her eyes) for her to experience. So she reads about it. Tons.
All the people waiting for the date to get released gather on Twi*ter counting down the seconds.
The excitement died fast out though as they all saw the same disturbing post.
"As the author got kidnapped, the meet&greet date may differ from the original one. Thank you for your understanding. #Sad #FreeMaya."

You may wonder: Why are they talking so calmly about someone being kidnapped? Quite simple, since it isn't very uncommon. These kinds of things happen all the time in X-City. And everywhere else in this damned world.
Ramina, who hasn't been this shocked since she last saw her brothers face, was almost dying while dropping on her knees, her face resting in her scarred hands.
"Who dared take my beloved," she whispers with clenched teeth.
This was a thing she simply couldn't accept.
She calmed herself down which took quite a lot of time, and then left to go to the basement of her so-called "Super-Secret-Mysterious-Hidden-Place-Noone-Is-Going-To-Find-Ever".
(Just so you know it was her brother who named it, she would never have a naming sense this bad.)
She felt sad whilst stepping these stairs down. The madness is gone and replaced by worry, fear and dejection.
"I know I said I woulder find her no matter what.. but how..?"
She fell into her depressed state.
It is rare to see though if this happens the world has a calm day. She gives up on being evil, well not really being evil, but rather on life in general.
"You are free to go," she tells the chained person on the sofa as she opens the door leading to the other's freedom.
And, yes a sofa. Even though she is a villain, she still knows how to treat guests.
Her enemy, Emz, shakes her hands confused.
"Now even if you tell me to leave, how do I get out of these?" She points with her head at the chains.
Ramina just grabs the keys in her pocket and opens them.
"Uhm, are you really sure I can go? It's not a trap or anything?"
Ramina shakes her head 'no'.
"Oh, well then thank you! I actually have an important meeting later on!"
Ramina clenches her teeth again. "Me too, but it got cancelled."
Emz looks at her in pity.
Trying to make the mood she ruined a bit happier again she strikes up a conversation.
"Now that I think about it, this is our first time to talk outside of our fights! Kind of nice, right? Haha."
Ramina just lowers her head with every word more.
"I guess you're not feeling too well... If it's like that, I'll leave, okay? Take a good rest and I hope you'll feel better next time we meet! See you."
Ramina still not being able to comprehend anything just nods and makes her way to her bedroom again.
Well leaving was Emz's first plan, but seeing her enemy that dejected made her feel bad too. She couldn't leave before lifting her mood first.
So she quickly went all the stairs up and followed her. After she stands beside her she spoke again.
"Uhm, how about telling me about what happened? That might make you feel better than before!"
"I doubt it..."
Emz thinks a bit while still walking through this, in her opinion, way too big a mansion.
"We can still try!"
"No."
Finally reaching her bedroom Ramina swings the door open and closes it right before her enemies eyes.
Well, that was a clear rejection.
Still, Emz doesn't give up and knocks a few times before entering the cute bedroom of Ramina. It was all purple with many pictures of her, her minions and her brother hung up. It was very personal and you could see how much of an organised person she usually is.
Ramina herself just lays on her bed with her face on the pillow and half her body on the floor.
"You know before I became a hero my dream was to become a therapist and I actually studied it for two semesters. It's not much but I can at least try to help?"
Ramina makes incrompehendable noises in return.
"I'll take that as a yes," Emz says while grabbing a nearby chair to place it in front of the bed.
Another weird noise and Ramina turns around and lays properly on her purple sheets.
"So, why are you depressed currently?"
"...well, basically, I was really excited for this meet and greet y'know. She's like my favourite author and I was really hyped. Just when it was supposed to start though she got kidnapped."
Now that's a situation similar to what Emz is experiencing currently. Not that she notices it though, sometimes she's a little behind.
"I see. That's indeed sad."
A few moments of silence.
"I'm glad you left it at just two semesters", Ramina giggles after saying that.
"...I was trying my best okay."
Her answer was a bit delayed due to her being fascinated at her enemies cute laugh.
Emz clears her throat before beginning to talk again.
"Well seeing that you're a bit better now I feel save leaving. I have to go fast but I hope that the situation with your author gets resolved as soon as possible!"
The last few words were barely heard by Ramina as Emz was screaming them while jumping out of the window.
"Pff, now that was really unexpected."
And as if it couldn't become any better she received a notification a few seconds after.
"Hi guys, it's us again! Just wanted to say that Maya came back safely just now! The meet&greet can happen now! #Happy #FreeMayaSuccessful"
And that's how Ramina went back to the fired up person she usually is.
"LETSGOOO" was the scream that made every minion in her base wince. Not that she cares.
A few seconds pass by with her thinking...
...Maybe just a little.
