Episode 16: Cravings and Cuddles
AUTHOR:
HELLO READERS~ HOW ARE YOU?? I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH! 💕💕
So, I know it's been about four days since the last update—I'm sooo sorry 😭! I got back from my trip, threw a little party for my mom, and my friends surprised me with a get-together too. But hey—I'm making it up to you with this bonus chapter 😏💋
---
I woke up wrapped in Tae's warm arms, his chest pressed softly against my back as he spooned me from behind. I smiled sleepily, placing my hand over my stomach… then reached down to place it on his hand too.
"Baby," I whispered.
He stirred awake, voice still drowsy. "Sweetie, what's wrong?"
I pouted, rolling to face him. "I want ice cream."
He blinked, checked the time, then looked at me again. "Baby, it's really late. No one's selling ice cream at this hour…"
I didn't care. I started throwing a tantrum like a 5-year-old.
"Uhhhgh… I want ice cream. Ice creammm…" I whined, rolling around in the bed dramatically.
He groaned, rubbing his face. "Okay, okay… but I'm not going alone."
I immediately stopped and kissed his cheek. "Yay!"
---
We hopped into my car and drove through the quiet city. Every store was closed. He kept trying to reason with me, but I wasn't having it.
"See, baby? Everything's closed," he said gently.
I pouted harder. "Uhhuhuhuh... I want ice cream!" I said again, clutching my tummy like I was going to die without it.
He sighed. "When did you become so spoiled?"
"Since you got me pregnant," I said, matter-of-factly.
He nearly facepalmed, but kept driving, determined to find something open.
Then I saw it—a tiny street stall still lit up.
"Ice cream!" I gasped, pointing.
Tae glanced over. "But baby, that kind isn't healthy—"
"Ice creammmmmm!!" I wailed.
He gave up. "Fine. I'll park."
We walked over, but the vendor shook his head. "Sorry, we're closed."
Tae tried to negotiate. "Please, sir. We really need it…"
"No can do," the vendor said firmly.
Tae gave him his signature pout. "Please… I'll pay double. Just this once?"
"Sorry—" the vendor began, but stopped mid-sentence, staring.
Tae followed his gaze—then stared too.
"Kim…"
There I was, happily licking a bucket of strawberry ice cream, my hands and lips completely covered.
"I really wanted ice cream," I said with an innocent pout, still licking like a toddler.
Tae was speechless. "How much is it?" he asked the stunned vendor.
"He just took my stuff!"
"I tried to ask nicely," Tae said, handing over the money. "I'll pay double, like I promised."
I hugged the tub tightly, then rubbed my belly. "Baby wants kimbap next."
Tae shook his head, exhausted. He paid, thanked the poor vendor, then took me back to the car.
"Kim, baby… you can't just take things like that," he scolded gently.
"Why are you scolding me?" I sniffled, already teary-eyed.
He sighed again and hugged me. "I'm sorry, I'm really sorry, okay?"
"I want kimbap," I said with a sniff.
"Yes, baby, we're getting kimbap," he said, already driving.
---
We found a small street eatery just before closing time.
"Kimbap please!" Tae shouted from the car.
The kind ajumma smiled and welcomed us in. "We could've gone somewhere better, but it's late," Tae said apologetically.
I didn't care. I was already shining with joy.
When the kimbap arrived, my eyes sparkled like I hadn't eaten in a year.
"I want hotteok too!" I said between bites.
He ordered that too, smiling as he watched me devour everything.
Eventually, we made it back home. He bathed me like a princess, dried my hair, and tucked me into bed.

My Room
Once again, I was in his arms, being spooned like the baby I had become. I turned to face him.
"I love you," I whispered.
"I love you too, baby," he said, kissing my head.
"Baby…" I bit my lower lip, watching him carefully.
He hummed, not opening his eyes.
I traced my fingers down his chest to his neck. "I really love you."
He finally looked at me, amused. "What is it?"
"Can't I just say how I feel about my boyfriend?" I pouted.
He chuckled, brushing my hair gently. "You can do anything you want, love."
I kissed his neck. Then his jaw. Then his nose.
"Baby… what are you doing?" he asked, still half-laughing.
I didn't reply. I just kissed him again, deeper this time, slowly straddling his lap.
"I love you so much," I whispered, my lips brushing his.
This time, he didn't pull away. He kissed me back… but stopped before it got too heated.
We were both too sleepy, too full, too emotional.
So I just rested my head against his shoulder and smiled, feeling completely safe.
