Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

I chuckle a little when I see Melisandre's face of shock.

"What do you think? This is the world gifted to me by the Gods, and that is my home."

Melisandre did not answer my question for a few seconds before saying.

"It is beautiful, my lord. Magic in this place is very abundant. It is seventy times more than our world and ten times more pure. We did not need blood to cast magic as long as we were here."

Huh? Really? That is good, then. I did not want her to sacrifice anyone as long as she was near me.

"Right. While we are in this world, the time outside is slower—a month here, only a day outside. You say that it will take a few days to arrive at Lys, right?"

"That's right."

"Good. That means we did not need to worry about being unable to leave when the ship docked."

Melisandre nods her head and says.

"What do I need to do while I'm here, my lord?"

I look at her and say.

"You will help me defend the place."

"Eh? What do you mean, my lord?"

"This place is not only a place to stay. This is the place to get stronger. The place where I can be someone that makes my parents and sister proud. You will soon know what I mean by that."

She nods, and I tell her to follow me. I take her inside the house and show her around. Dany already entered the house to play with the rest of the doll I bought for her.

"This is the living room. This is where I play with Dany or when I only want to relax."

"My lord, what is that? It releases a lot of magic."

"Hmm? That is a crafting table. Let me tell you how to use it."

Melisandre and I walk to the crafting table. I removed three cobblestones from my inventory and put them on the crafting table. I chuckle a little when I see her widen her eyes when she sees the one-meter cubic stone turn into a small stone block.

Her eyes get even wider when she sees a pickaxe appear after I press the button on the side of the crafting table.

"This is the purpose of the crafting table. Here," I take the crafting books that come alongside the crafting table after I make it. These are the things you can craft using this table."

She takes the book and holds it tightly.

"I shall learn everything in this book, my lord."

"You did not need to do that. Just remember the important things. I already mark what is more important."

"I understand."

"Good. Let me show you the kitchen."

I take him to the kitchen, where there are four large chests and a 'stove,' but in reality, it is a campfire I put on top of a log. I buy the pots, frying pan, and other kitchen appliances and then bring them here. Eating nothing but bread and steak gets you bored fast.

"You need to use this." I show her the flint and steel and then use it to light up the 'stove.' "Just make sure to aim them at this, and you will have your fire for cooking."

"I understand. What about the ingredient, my lord? Do we need to bring ice to make them last longer? Or do you have cold storage underneath this house?"

"Ah, you did not need to worry about that. Open one of those chests."

She nods and opens the chest. A second later, I can hear her gasp as she opens one of the chests. She steps back and looks at me.

"What is that, my lord?"

"That is a pocket dimension where you can store what you need to store. Anything that you store in that place will not go bad, no matter how long you store it."

I know this because I have had a stack of steak in one of the chests in the living room since the day I came here. They are still delicious without any sign of going bad.

Melisandre takes a deep breath, nods her head and says.

"I understand."

"Good. Let's go to the storage room."

While walking to the storage room, Dany walks toward me and demands that I pick her up. I smile and pick her up as we walk to the storage room. We go underground for this, and when we arrive, we find a room with nothing but chests inside.

"This is the storage room. Each chest has a name above it that indicates what kind of thing is inside of it. Please put the items you need to put away in the same order as the name I already put. If you have something outside the name above the chest, you can put it inside that chest in the corner. I will sort them later."

"I understand, my lord."

I nod, and we leave the storage room. I then showed her her room, which is Dany's room, for when she grows up. I also showed her my workshop, where I experimented and made other things to help me.

"Now, let's get outside and go to the tower. You can make that place your prayer room for now. I will make one later."

"Thank you, my lord. I shall give my prayer for you to our Lord R'hllor."

"Vy!"

I look down and see Dany shout my name.

"Hmmm? What is it, Dany?"

"Wa? Wa?"

"Sure! We can go and take a swim."

I look at Melisandre and say.

"I will show you the tower later, okay?"

"Think nothing of it, my lord. I understand."

When the sun starts to go down, Melisandre and I stand on the tower, looking in the distance.

"Why are we here, my lord?"

"Just wait. They will be here soon."

We wait for a few more minutes before finally the sun disappears from the horizon, and we can see a cloud of dust appear from the horizon. I can see Melisandre's eyes get bigger at the sight in front of her. A horde of mobs coming at us.

"That is the reason why we need to prepare. Here, take this."

I give her a crossbow, put down a chest, and then fill it with arrows. Countless chickens get sacrificed to make those arrows.

"Use that crossbow to shoot as many zombies and skeletons as possible."

"What about you, my lord?"

I equip my armor, remove my sword and shield, and say.

"I will go down and fight. Don't worry. I am not stupid enough to fight them without something."

I get down the wall and mine the middle cobblestone of the wall. Then, I place stone slabs to create a gap to stab the incoming mobs. The mobs in this world are a little bit different. They will spawn in a place where there is no light, and they will spawn a lot longer than in the game. They only spawn once every six hours. However, while they respawn much longer, their sense is ten times stronger than in the game. They will immediately run toward me, even from far away.

Because of that, I need to kill them all before going to bed and enjoy a silent night. Of course, I can go underground and sleep there for a quiet night. However, I will not leave a chance of killing them to get experience.

"Here they come!"
