Chapter 62 - Chapter 62

|3rd POV|

Ferrego looks at the giant wall in front of him in awe. He and his crew come to Solaris because he needs to do business here and see the new Solaris Kingdom with his own eyes. He thought that he would not see much, but he was wrong.

He thought the only thing they had done was a new palace, but he did not expect a massive temple to worship the Red God, R'hllor, and a massive palace. Not only that, but the massive wall surrounding the entire island is also something he does not expect.

He also does not expect the wall coming out of the bottom of the ocean to create an ocean walk around the island. However, he doesn't know if this wall will last long because the waves in this part of the ocean are rather violent.

However, with the special effect of Minecraft power, the wall will not corrode, and only a massive explosion will destroy it. It will take a long time before the ocean wall gets destroyed. It is with the advancement of technology and weapons that this part of the wall gets destroyed. Even then, it still survives to the modern day.

But that is a story for another day.

After a few minutes, Ferrego and his crew dock their ship, and he can see Melisandre already waiting for him on the ground.

"Welcome to Stellaris, Sir Ferrego. Please follow me. We already prepared a carriage for you. Our lord, Viserys, has been waiting for you."

"Of course. Thank you for welcoming me, my lady. Please lead the way."

While they are walking to the carriage, Ferrego looks at the woman in front of him with interest. This woman is the woman who stands by Viserys' side and someone who holds high power in the court of the Solaris Kingdom.

If any spies can make her join their side, Solaris Kingdom will be in deep trouble. However, by how she says the name of Viserys in such reverence, it will be hard or even impossible.

When they enter the carriage, Ferrego decides to confirm something.

"Before we arrive at the palace, can you confirm one thing?"

"Oh? What is it?"

"Is it true that all the food your kingdom produces is because of miracle potions?"

Melisandre holds back a giggle at that piece of rumor. Viserys decide to let the rumor spread because it helps them from getting the truth out. The longer it stays hidden, the better, and this rumor will be good for them.

Melisandre releases a faux sigh and says.

"Might as well get it out. Yes. We have potion masters who make them for us. Before you say anything, we will not let you borrow or even take them from us. They have shadows who watch their movement."

She says the last part with a frown on her face and says it with a cold voice. Ferrego shudders because he immediately understands what she means by that. The Facelessmen are watching them from the shadows and will kill them or him if they decide to go with him to Braavos.

However, it did not make him give up. He can buy the potions if he cannot acquire the one making the potion.

"Right. How about the potions? Can I buy them?"

"That is not for me to say, Sir. However, if you can offer good compensation, I don't know why Lord Viserys rejected your offer."

Ferrego nods his head in relief. If she says that, there is a high chance of it happening. In his mind, if an advisor says there is a high chance their king will agree to a request, there is a high chance that it might be true.

They ride through the city, and Ferrego gets even more impressed the deeper he gets into the city. He can see people walking around the street. He can also see a merchant haggling with another merchant. As a merchant himself, his money-making sense is tingling. It's been a while since he had a proper merchant activity.

Lastly, he can see food vendors on the side of the street cooking their food, and some of the smell enters the carriage. He cannot help but salivate at the smell of the food.

"Do you want some, sir Ferrego?"

Ferrego snaps from his thoughts and shakes his head.

"Ah, maybe later. I think the meeting is more important than me testing some food."

"If you say so. We can ask someone to take you around the city if you want."

"That would be great. Stellaris City is a massive city, and I don't think I can visit all the interesting places without a guide."

"Then I shall prepare someone to take you around."

After a few minutes, they arrive in front of the palace, and Melisandre takes him to Viserys' office. Melisandre knocks on the door and Viserys answers.

"Enter."

When they enter, they can see Viserys writing something while sitting on the couch instead of his chair. However, someone is already inside their room before they enter. It is Daenerys who blissfully sleeps on her brother's lap while releasing a cute little snore.

"Ah, Melisandre and Sir Ferrego. Please come inside. Also, please call a servant to take Dany back to her room, Melisandre."

The Red Priestess nods her head and calls a servant to take Dany back to her room. With only the three of them inside the room, Viserys looks at Ferrago and says.

"What can I do for you, Sir Ferrago? Your letter says you want to ask for a favor, right?"

"Yes, Your Highness. I come here to ask if you are willing to give Braavos some of the potions that allow you to produce a lot of food in a short amount of time."

"You know that food production is our main income, right? These potions are what make us able to do it."

"We know, Your Highness. Braavos is willing to compensate you heavily in exchange for this potion. We don't ask for a massive shipment of potions. We want enough for two-hectare land."

Viserys thinks for a few seconds and says.

"One hectare. Before you say something, you must see how powerful our potions are before you ask for more. I guarantee in my family's name that this amount of land will be enough to feed your people. Not all of them, but it is enough for emergencies."

Ferrego nods his head and says.

"Very well. One hectare worth of potions."

"And what kind of compensation will you do for us?"

"We are willing to extend the contract between Braavos and Solaris Kingdom. We are willing to let all merchants from Solaris enter Braavos without tax for one thousand years. Not only that, the Iron Bank is also willing to give a loan to Solaris Kingdom with only one percent interest on the overall loan instead of monthly interest. We also want to make an alliance with the Solaris Kingdom instead of only a non-aggression treaty. That alliance includes Military Help."

Viserys looks at him for a few seconds before nodding his head.

"I agree. However, I need you to make our alliance secret. I don't want the kingdom in the West to know about it. We are not prepared for war just yet."

Ferrego looks at Viserys in shock because he knows that that wall alone is already enough to hold the Westerosi armies for two or three decades. Viseyrs ignore his look and continue.

"Can you do it?"

"That is easy, Your Highness. Braavos is known for our tight lips, after all."

"Good. Do you bring the contract, or should we wait for the others? We need the Director of the Iron Bank to be here, no?"

"That is right. We need him here. I shall send a letter back home and tell him to come here as soon as possible."

Viserys gets up and offers his hand.

"May this alliance lead us to a bright future."

Ferrego smiles and grabs his hand.

"Yes."
