It has been two weeks since the news of the Lys magisters wanting to attack us, and I can say that we are doing great. Not only are we doing great, but we are also lucky. Why? Merchants from the Summer Isles land on our land and sell many goods.
Among them are their bows and arrows. They are made from a special wood called Goldenheart. I managed to secure a deal with one of the merchants to sell me one sapling of Goldenheart a day before my
His eyes are mocking me when I give them those golds. Sadly for him, he is the idiot for giving me that sapling. Now, I have forty Goldenhearts in the real world and a hundred in Minecraft.
Because of this, I can upgrade the regular bow into something called [Goldenheart Bow] to increase its range and projectile speed using the Smithing table. Combine it with an enchantment from the enchanting table; we get a very formidable bow.
I managed to craft thirty bows with [Power] and [Flame] enchantments. There are only two bows that get [Infinity] and [Power] enchantments because [Infinity] is hard to get.
Other than bows, I also make a lot of armor sets and enchant them. Most of them have [Protection] and [Projectile Protection] as enchantments, with some of them having [Thorns]. There are some other enchantments for helmets, leggings, and boots, but as long as they have [Protection] and [Projectile Protection], I will take them.
I also create swords for my people complete with enhancement as well. All of them have [Sharpness] enchantment, but there are others as well.
*Knock* *Knock*
"My lord?"
I snap from my thoughts and say.
"Come in."
Melisandre enters my office alongside Dany, Ser Willem, and Horo. I smile at them, take Dany from Melisandre, and say.
"Thank you for coming here. It is that time of the week."
After I say that, the three of them nod their heads. I decided to tell Willem and Horo about my power to help me in my project. While in the Minecraft world, they partly get the same power as any Minecraft player. That means they cannot get tired unless they are hungry, and they can heal their injury in a few seconds after eating some food.
Because of this, they are now the ones taking care of the farm, mining, or crafting equipment while I take care of the others. They are the reason why I can build the XP farm and kill as many mobs as possible.
"Do you still want to be the one staying here, Horo?"
"Yes, my lord. I am sorry to say this, but I am not a fighter. I don't think I can sleep while so many things are attacking our place."
And he is right. I did not know that the mob increases the more people I bring. There are too many of them for us to defeat at once without proper preparation. One of those preparations is to refill the arrow trap—a dispenser filled to the brim with arrows and a basic Redstone formation.
"I see. Very well. Then I will leave this place to you while I am away, okay?"
"Of course, my lord. I will not disappoint you."
"Good."
While we are away, we need someone to take care of this place in case of an emergency.
A month ago, there was an emergency. One of the ships managed to crash into the port and needed my immediate attention. Sadly, they know that I am doing some religious thing that will keep the farm and cannot be disturbed. So they leave the ship on the dock alone and leave the injured people in the healing tent until I arrive.
This is another reason why I decided to recruit Willem and Horo. At least one of them can be the head while I am away.
I shake my head and look at Willem and Melisandre.
"Let's get going."
I open the portal, and we walk through it. A second later, we arrive in the Minecraft world.
"It still amazes me when I see this world."
I nod at Willem's words and say.
"Ser Willem, can you take care of the mining today? I will continue to farm the monster for XP."
He already knows when I say XP farm after explaining it to him.
"Of course, your highness. Leave it to me. Ever since I did some mining in this world, I have felt my body getting stronger and healthier."
That is the effect of leveling up. It did not give you an immediate change, but you can feel it the more you level up. It is not a massive increase in strength like in RPG games, but it is still there. It also makes you a little bit younger. At least that is according to Melisandre, and I believe her because she is ancient if my memory serves me right.
"Thank you. Please take some of the chests with you down there. Unlike me, you cannot store all of the ores at once."
He nods and enters the mine. I look at Melisandre and say.
"We did not have any new plants to take care of. Can you take care of Dany for me? You can continue to build the temple once I am back in an hour or two."
Melisandre's goal in this world is to create a Grand Temple for R'hllor, and it takes quite a bit of time to build one. I am talking about building a massive temple the size of a village or a small town. This is what happens when you have a newbie in the Minecraft world. You will have a grand dream to build something, but most of the stops are midway, and only the truly dedicated one will be willing to finish it.
I think Melisandre is the latter one.
"Of course, my lord~"
I give her Dany, who looks at me in confusion and says.
"Vy? Vy!"
I gently pat her head and say.
"Go play with Melisandre for a moment, okay? I will play with you later."
"En!"
I smile and walk to the west side of my house. I can already see it. I can see the monstrosity of a building in the distance. That thing took me three days to complete and three falls before it was completed. Luckily, I am smart enough to build them on top of a giant lake. All the falls land on water, and I survive.
I can survive the Nether but almost died from fall damage. It is not saying that the Netherlands is all sunshine and rainbows because I almost died there more than fifty times. Most of them are because of those stupid piglins. They are a humanoid pig that loves gold. However, unlike in the game, where you can fool them by wearing a piece of golden armor, this is not a game.
They attack me when they see me, and boy, do they see me a lot. I need to build a tunnel that connects me from one area to another. I never thought to play a sneaking game in Minecraft world but here we are.
I shake my head and continue to walk to my XP farm.
After thirty minutes of walking, I arrive in front of a small clearing where I can see a lot of zombies, skeletons, and creepers standing in a small room. I walk toward the nearby chest and take out my diamond sword that is enchanted with [Smite], [Mending], and [Sharpness].
This is the perfect weapon against the mob inside that trap. I swing my sword as hard as possible and watch the zombies and skeletons turn into ashes. I cannot help but smile at the sight in front of me.
"Ahh~ Nothing beats the smell of XP in the morning."
