The soft breath of air hit my face and attracted the smell of leaves falling from the trees.

Rarely could you experience this type of situation, well at least in this era.

A time where the magical revolution caused great destruction to the environment.

When the magician and the scholar came together they created the most sinister and dangerous association for the entire globe, a highly exploitable planet with mineral resources under our feet.

That's why the situation I was in was so wonderful, I could feel the pure, unrecycled oxygen from the breathing machines entering my lungs.

Or well it would be wonderful if I weren't allergic to the dust left by the grass.

In a world where the magical revolution destroyed a large part of natural habitats, this allergy would not be very problematic, except because there is not much grass to even smell.

I slowly opened my eyes and quickly sat up coughing a few times and sneezing.

And even without being able to fully adapt to the discomfort of the allergy, I covered myself with my arm to block the view of the sun.

A few more minutes of discomfort after discomfort I got up from the root I was lying on.

Look at the branches that were hidden with their brown leaves.

Trying to shake off the feeling of weakness that goes along with the numbness of the muscles, I clenched my fists to try to reactivate the muscles in my hands.

While I was doing it, the noises of the iron and bracelets could be heard moving.

Finally reactivating my senses, I looked at my hands. I was wearing a black leather glove that was torn along most of the fingers.

I looked at my hands absorbing the information and looked at my arms.

The word armbands would be a bit of an exaggeration to describe it, it was just the extension of the glove that reached down to the forearms.

Looking at it better I saw the iron plates of the bracelet, on my left there was a somewhat deformed but still usable plate, on my right I saw a quarter of what I think would be the normal size of the plate completely cracked, with few uses for the plate itself be able to cut myself just by moving.

When I finished observing I looked around.

There was a brown explorer purse with the entire top part torn, looking at it better I realized that the buckle that allowed it to close normally was intact.

I walked over to the purse and grabbed it from the floor.

I examined it and realized that it had some grass on it. I shook it a little to try to clean it and stupidly provoked my allergy.

A few sneezes later I looked inside.

Upon examining it I realized that there was some beef jerky and a canteen with water along with a couple of papers that looked damaged.

I took out the documents and tried to read them, they were mostly illegible.

Apparently the ink had smeared across the page after moving.

Luckily I rescued some letters from the document.
