Kimberly's POV:
The first week of being here has been more exhausting than exciting. We've been busy cooking and cleaning—not exactly the ideal vacation. But Jace's parents haven't used this house in a long time, so we all pitched in.
Today, however, was shaping up to be my favorite day here—game night. This was the exciting night where we introduced games and movies we all enjoyed.
We kicked things off with board games, karaoke, dancing games, and a friendly game of tug-of-war: boys versus girls. Naturally, Jessica, Jade, and Tori kept tumbling over as the boys pulled the rope. "Seriously, girls, what's the deal?" I laughed, shaking my head. "Bimbos!"
Once we had enough of tugging, we moved on to Truth or Dare. As expected, Jessica, Jade, and Tori dared each other to kiss the hands of Luke and Casey or give them hugs. "Oh come on, that's not even a real dare!" I teased, rolling my eyes. They just giggled and persisted in their antics.
Finally, it was movie time, the most interesting part of the day.
"Okay, so what do you guys want to watch?" Kenna asked, surveying the group.
"Oh, let's watch Wednesday!" Jace suggested enthusiastically.
"BO-RING!" I shot back, scrunching my nose.
Tori chimed in, "Oh, I know! Let's watch In Kimmy's Eyes!"
"Eww, no! I hate that show!" Jace groaned.
"Aww, come on!" Jade pouted.
"Aww… nothing! You guys made me watch a marathon last month," Jace insisted.
Jessica leaned closer to him, batting her eyelashes playfully. "Oh, Jacey boo, please?"
"No! And my name is Jace, not Jacey boo. I hate that nickname," he replied, trying to sound serious, but the corner of his mouth twitched.
"Jacey boo!" Jade echoed, laughing.
"Jacey boo!" Tori joined in, and soon Jessica chimed in too.
"Oh, then let's watch In Jennie's Eyes!" Tori suggested.
"No!" Casey and Luke both protested at the same time, shaking their heads vigorously.
"Okay, how about we play rock-paper-scissors?" Kenna proposed, cutting through the chaos.
"Sure!" I agreed, eager to break the tie.
Kenna's POV:
We played rock-paper-scissors, and of course, the boys won. So, we reluctantly decided to watch a horror movie. How sad!
Kimberly's POV:
I stepped outside to take in the view from the terrace as I waited for the guys to set up the movie. The warm evening sun bathed the surroundings in a golden hue, making everything feel magical. Suddenly, someone crept up behind me and covered my eyes. "Guess who?"
I hesitated, trying to recognize the voice. "Wait… I know that voice. Is it Jackson? No, Christopher? No, Smith? Justin Bieber?"
"Haha, no, Kimber, it's me!"
I turned around and gasped, "Kade! Oh my gosh, I missed you!" I should've known; he's the only one who calls me Kimber.
Kade stood there, in a black tee and sweats, an astonishing sight—tall and lean, easily towering at 6 feet 3 inches, with a build that suggested both strength and grace. His white hair, slightly tousled by the breeze, framed his sharp jawline, accentuating the striking depth of his black eyes that seemed to absorb the light around him.
A rush of heat crept up my cheeks, my heart suddenly racing in a way that made my breath catch. It was as if time slowed, and the vibrant chatter of my friends faded into the background, leaving only the sound of my heartbeat pounding in my ears. There was something magnetic about him—an effortless confidence that made my stomach flutter. We did some catching up then after sometime we went into the theater room.

Movie time was surprisingly fun. Luke kept screaming and spilling his popcorn, begging us to switch the movie. Jace just laughed in his face, but the girls were all too happy to switch to In Kimmy's Eyes. Ironically, Luke and Casey seemed to enjoy it more than the girls did.
"Ugh, so boring! This show sucks!" Jace complained, crossing his arms.
"Shh!" Casey hissed, trying to focus.
"Jace, keep it down!" Kenna added, rolling her eyes.
Suddenly, Kenna threw her popcorn at Jace, and the whole room erupted into a popcorn fight. When they ran out of popcorn, pillows became our new ammo. It was chaotic but so much fun! I watched, laughing, until I was hit by a stray pillow.
TIME SKIP
Kimberly's POV:
I woke up sometime later, unsure how long I had been asleep. Everyone else was out cold—except Kade. Where's kade?. I got up and started wandering around the theater room, spotting Kade outside. He was on a call, so I waited for him to finish.
As I stood there, I couldn't help but admire him. Even from a distance, he exuded a relaxed confidence that was impossible to ignore.
"Kimber, how long have you been there?" he asked, surprise flickering across his face when he noticed me.
"Just now. Who were you talking to?" I inquired, curious.
"No one important." He immediately shoved his phone into his pocket, and something about that felt off.
"Uhmm, okay. I'll just go back inside," I said, feeling a little awkward.
But Kade held my hand, turning me to face him. "I missed you a lot when I was away."
Suddenly he leaned in and placed a soft kiss on my lips and I kissed him back.
