While Zac and Alice escorted the people to the entrance of the cave, the woman explained that the hundred-meter tunnel to the exit was fully submerged.
"How long can you stay without breathing?" Alice asked the redhead, but he wasn't sure as he had never tried to break his record since he was a child.
In the other room, Dante and Laurent were done breaking the chains binding the people, and just as the men told them to evacuate through the tunnel, the vampire and the warlock sensed an eerie presence.
"What was that?" Laurent asked, his gaze sharp and his tone serious.
"Let's get out of here…" Dante replied.
When the last group of people slowly walked through the tunnel to the entrance, the young couple who mustered the courage to speak to Dante stayed behind with the warlock, believing they would be the safest next to him.
Still, seeing that the warlock and the vampire weren't going back with them, the young couple stopped in their tracks.
