"Well, that was awkward."
"Do you think it is?" Fil panicked, jumping on her bed with her phone in her hand. "Jack, did I screw things up?"
"You'll screw it up if you let him kiss you," Jackson, who was on the other end of the line, remarked sarcastically. "Should we write up a contract about this affair we have?"
She frowned. "Sure. As long as you agree with my terms."
"And that is?"
"My body, my rules."
There was a long silence in the line as Jackson didn't respond. Fil huffed and jumped out of bed, marching outside to get herself a glass of wine.
"You said it," she spoke after a long moment of silence, pausing by the kitchen counter. "Men like challenge. If they were challenged, they would do everything to prove they can do it."
"Hah." Jackson rocked his head.
