Inviting Marcus inside her home was quite bolder than him meeting her in the middle of the night. Fil didn't want to appear just as forthcoming as him. Just enough to entertain him to keep him wrapped around her little pinky. Hence, she told him to walk with her until they reached a nearby park.
"You didn't have to bother, you know?" Fil sat in the swing, looking at the person on the other side. "I could've gone to the convenience store and bought something."
"Is that how you thank me?" Marcus humored, brow arched. "I was worried."
"I'm fine."
"I know you'd be fine." Marcus nodded. "You're a strong woman."
"Then why did you come here?"
"Am I not allowed to worry about a friend?"
"What about Vincent?" she returned, tilting her head a little to the side. "He's your best friend, and I… dumped him. You should be comforting him, not me."
