"I'll communicate with the prince outside the imperial palace. I can't go inside or the crown prince will be in danger."
"That's what the witch said before we turned around to find her a place to stay, Your Highness," the henchman reported, standing in front of the crown prince's wide desk. "She looked very scared, Your Highness."
Quentin pounded the bottom of his fist against the surface of the desk. He ground his teeth in anger, but at the same time, feeling a lot more trapped in this situation.
"Is she truly a witch?" he hissed, and the knight nodded.
"Your Highness, I've searched high and low to find a witch. I've had to use extreme means just to find her," the knight reassured. "I can assure you she's a real one. Although she chose to stay hidden outside of the imperial palace, she sent you a letter because she seemed to be worried about you."
