Fil spent the rest of the week without thinking too much about her return to the city. She was only mandated to return to the office for official business, then she could go again. Once this week finished, she and Jackson agreed to plan their wedding despite not having agreed on the wedding date yet. After all, they couldn't get married without a ring.
Overall, it was not a problem.
Everything for her was going well. The work, the projects under her, her relationship with Jackson, her new circle, and most importantly, her time with her family. Fil managed to balance all of it whilst doing the same amount of work. Surely, not having people run her errands or favors freed up a lot of her time for herself.
"Are you sure you'll be okay?"
Fil smiled, holding the phone to her ear while in a taxi on her way to her apartment. "I told you I'll be fine. It's just for a week."
"You should've let me drop you off." Jackson sighed. "Now, I miss you."
