The weekend ended peacefully for Fil and Jackson, spending the remaining hours bonding over his trip with her family. The rest of the week after that also went by in a blur. There wasn't anything noteworthy for the rest of the week.
Aside from the constant phone calls from Vincent, over kindness from her colleagues, gifts from her suitors, and Fil ignoring all of them. Everything became a part of her routine now. Although something had been bothering Fil every single day.
Marcus never contacted her after dropping her off at the hospital that day.
'He still hadn't reached out,' she thought, tilting her phone to check. 'Don't tell me he already got the clarity he wanted?'
Fil mentally sighed, getting stressed over it. Marcus just couldn't end things with her. Not when he just told her he was dating her to marry. Did he cower and realize he couldn't win against Vincent?
