_________AUTHOR'S POV:~~

The sun hung high in the sky, casting a golden hue over the Singhaniya mansion. Inside, the atmosphere was buzzing with activity as the family went about their daily routines. In the corner room of the mansion, Aarav Singhaniya sat hunched over his desk, papers strewn all around him. His brow furrowed in concentration as he pored over the details of his project presentation, an important aspect of the upcoming hotel meeting that could potentially decide the fate of their family's business venture.

Misha, his older sister, stood beside him, her long hair cascading down her shoulders as she adjusted her glasses. "Aarav, you need to organize your thoughts better. Right now, it looks like a jumbled mess," she said, a hint of concern lacing her voice.

"I know, I know! But this presentation has to be perfect! If I don't impress them, Dad will be so disappointed," Aarav replied, running a hand through his hair in frustration. He glanced at the clock and sighed. "I just can't seem to get the graphics right. They need to be eye-catching but professional."

Misha leaned over the desk, pointing at his computer screen. "Let's start with the graphics. You need to emphasize the luxury aspect of the hotel while keeping it sleek. Remember, you're presenting to people who expect the best," she instructed, her tone both gentle and firm.

Aarav nodded, grateful for her guidance. "Yeah, you're right. I'll fix it right now. Can you check the layout for me?"

"Of course," Misha replied, pulling up a chair next to him. The two of them delved into the presentation, their minds working in tandem as they discussed color schemes and layout designs, both passionate about making it work.

As they were absorbed in their task, Ria walked through the corridor, her phone in one hand and a cup of ice cream in the other. She was blissfully unaware of the chaos in the room, her mind buzzing with the latest gossip from school. When she caught sight of Aarav and Misha, she couldn't help but tease. "What are you two nerds doing? Studying for a PhD?"

Aarav looked up, rolling his eyes. "Very funny, Ria. We're working on my presentation for the hotel meeting. I could use your help if you're not too busy with your social life."

"Oh, please! My social life is as boring as your presentation. What do you need?" Ria asked, stepping closer with a playful smirk on her face. She caught Misha's eye and raised an eyebrow, sensing the tension in the air.

Misha leaned back in her chair, crossing her arms. "Well, if you're going to help, at least make sure you know what you're doing. This is a big deal for Aarav, and he's already stressed out."

Ria feigned seriousness, placing a hand on her chest. "How dare you question my expertise! I have been known to edit a paper or two, you know?"

"Yeah, but you also have a talent for distracting everyone with your endless chatter," Aarav quipped, his frustration melting slightly at the lighthearted banter.

Ria stuck her tongue out at him. "I'll have you know that my chatter is what keeps the family entertained. But fine, I'll help. Just know that if I get distracted, it's totally your fault."

"Great, just what I need," Aarav muttered, a grin spreading across his face. He gestured for her to sit down. "Let's get to work then. Misha, do you have the marked copies of the graphics?"

"Right here." Misha passed them to Ria, who began to sift through the pages, her eyes lighting up as she analyzed the work.

"I must say, these graphics are decent, but they need more pop! You want people to be drawn in, not nod off into their coffee cups," Ria remarked, her enthusiasm evident.

Misha watched as Ria expertly pointed out areas that needed improvement, marking up the papers with a bright red pen. "You know, Ria, you really should consider a career in graphic design or editing. You have a knack for this," Misha complimented her, genuinely impressed.

Ria beamed at the praise, her confidence soaring. "Thanks! I just love making things look pretty. It's like giving them a makeover!" She quickly made a few suggestions, and Aarav watched in awe as she transformed his work right before his eyes.

After a few minutes of back-and-forth discussion, Ria leaned back in her chair with satisfaction. "There we go! Much better! Now it actually looks like you care about the presentation."

Aarav smiled, relief flooding through him. "Thank you! I really needed this."

Ria leaned closer to him, a playful glint in her eyes. "But you owe me! Ice cream or a favor—your choice."

Aarav pretended to consider it for a moment. "How about I get you an ice cream sundae, but only if you promise to stop using your social life as an excuse to avoid helping me in the future?"

Ria chuckled, shaking her head. "Deal! But you'll have to do all the talking during the presentation. I'm not getting in front of those corporate suits unless you pay me."

Just then, Misha chimed in, "And don't forget to thank your big sister here for helping you out." She shot a playful glare at Aarav, who was still in disbelief at how quickly the presentation had improved.

"Thanks, Misha! You're the best," Aarav said, his tone light. "I'm lucky to have you both."

Ria waved her hand dismissively. "Yeah, yeah. Just remember this when I need your help with my project next week."

Misha laughed, enjoying the sibling banter. "Speaking of projects, when did Anaya come home today?"

"Not sure. I think she's taking a half day at work. She mentioned something about needing to go to college, but I wasn't really listening," Ria replied, absentmindedly licking her ice cream.

"Typical," Misha said, shaking her head. "She always has so much going on. But I admire her work ethic. I wish I had that drive at her age."

The conversation shifted as they reminisced about their college days, the laughter echoing through the hallways. The senior ladies of the Singhaniya family were enjoying a classic movie on TV in the living room, their presence creating a sense of warmth and comfort in the home.

_____________

Meanwhile, at the Tech High office, Anaya was preparing herself for a crucial conversation with the HR manager, hoping to secure a half day to attend her college activities. The atmosphere in the office was alive with the sounds of keyboards clicking and phones ringing, creating a symphony of productivity.

Anaya took a deep breath as she approached the HR lady's desk. "Excuse me, Ms. Gupta?" she said, trying to keep her voice steady despite the butterflies in her stomach.

Ms. Gupta looked up from her computer, a welcoming smile on her face. "Yes, Anaya! How can I help you?"

"I was wondering if I could take a half day today for some college work. I have an important project that I need to finish, and it would really help if I could leave early," Anaya explained, her voice filled with determination.

Ms. Gupta considered her request for a moment. "Of course! I understand how important college is. You can take the half day, no problem. Just make sure you complete your tasks before you leave," she replied, her tone encouraging.

Anaya felt a wave of relief wash over her. "Thank you so much! I really appreciate it."

As she made her way back to her desk, the bustling office around her felt a bit more bearable. She had a sense of purpose now, ready to tackle her project with renewed energy.

Just then, she noticed a familiar figure stepping out of the elevator—Rubi Kukreja. The atmosphere around Rubi had shifted since the last time Anaya had seen her. Today, she wore a crisp white blouse paired with a sleek black blazer and tailored pants that accentuated her figure. The confident sway of her stride commanded attention, and Anaya felt a knot form in her stomach.

Rubi caught Anaya's eye and smirked, her expression oozing confidence. "Well, well, if it isn't the new intern," she said, her tone dripping with condescension.

Anaya straightened her back, refusing to let Rubi's words affect her. "Hi, Miss Kukreja. Nice to see you," she replied, keeping her voice steady.

As they exchanged pleasantries, Ms. Gupta approached Rubi, her demeanor shifting to one of familiarity. "Rubi! It's great to see you! How have you been?" she asked warmly.

The two women greeted each other as if they had known each other for years, sharing smiles and laughter that left Anaya feeling like an outsider in the conversation.

Rubi glanced at Anaya, her lips curling into a smirk. "Is Mr. Singhaniya in his office?" she asked casually, clearly more interested in the upper management than the likes of Anaya.

"Last I checked, he was in a meeting," Ms. Gupta replied, pointing toward the direction of Rudra's office. Rubi nodded, a glimmer of triumph in her eyes.

"Good to know. I have some business to discuss," she said, her tone implying that she was on a mission.

As Rubi turned to walk away, Anaya saw her opportunity to assert herself. "Actually, I'm Miss Anaya Malhotra, the new intern at Tech High," she introduced herself, a hint of pride in her voice. She felt a surge of confidence as she spoke, ready to stand her ground.

Rubi paused mid-stride, turning back to Anaya with a mockingly raised eyebrow. "Oh really? The intern? How charming." Her words dripped with disdain, making it clear she didn't think much of Anaya's position.

Before Anaya could respond, Rubi continued, "I suppose you're the one who will be fetching coffee for the real employees." She laughed lightly, and Anaya felt a rush of indignation rise within her.

With a smile that masked her irritation, Anaya replied, "Actually, I'm here to learn and contribute. I've worked hard to get this internship, and I plan to prove my worth." She felt a surge of defiance as she held Rubi's gaze.

Rubi's smirk faltered slightly, but she quickly regained her composure. "Well, good luck with that. I wouldn't want to be in your shoes during a meeting with Mr. Singhaniya. He's not known for his patience." With a condescending wave, Rubi turned and walked away, her heels clicking sharply against the polished floor.

Anaya exhaled, feeling the tension leave her shoulders. She straightened her blouse and made her way back to her desk, determined to put the interaction behind her. She couldn't let someone like Rubi distract her from her goals.

Part 3: Sibling Dynamics

Back at the Singhaniya mansion, the afternoon sun streamed through the large windows, casting a warm glow on the family gathered in the living room. Misha and Aarav continued their work on the presentation, the papers now neatly arranged as they prepared for the final touches. The atmosphere was charged with an undercurrent of sibling rivalry, yet the camaraderie was undeniable.

"Okay, so what do you think about this layout for the first slide?" Aarav asked, glancing at Misha. He was both excited and nervous, eager for her input.

Misha leaned forward, examining the screen intently. "It's a bit cluttered. Try simplifying it. You want them to focus on the key points, not get lost in all the text."

Just then, Ria burst into the room, ice cream still in hand. "You two are still at it? I thought you would be done by now!" she exclaimed, eyeing their computer screen with curiosity.

Aarav sighed dramatically. "We're almost finished. But I think we might need your editing skills to finalize everything. Can you help us?"

"Of course! But first, let me have a bite of that ice cream," Ria said playfully, inching closer to Aarav's desk. "What flavor did you get? I need to know if it's worth it to steal some from you."

"Mint chocolate chip," Aarav replied, lifting the cup slightly as if to taunt her.

"Hey! That's my favorite!" Ria exclaimed, her eyes wide with delight. She quickly snatched the cup from his hand and took a large spoonful, savoring the cool sweetness.

"Okay, okay! Just remember, I need that back once you're done," Aarav protested, grinning at her antics.

Misha chuckled, shaking her head. "You're both ridiculous. Focus, please! This presentation won't finish itself!"

"Fine, fine!" Ria relented, her mouth still full of ice cream. "But only after I make this presentation sparkle." She glanced over at the computer, her expression shifting to one of concentration as she took a seat beside Aarav.

"Alright, what's the plan?" she asked, her tone turning serious.

Aarav shared his ideas while Ria listened intently, occasionally jotting down notes. "You know, you're pretty good at this. Maybe I should hire you to work for me full-time!" he teased, nudging her playfully.

"Ha! I'll charge you triple, then," Ria shot back, her eyes gleaming with mischief.

After a few minutes of banter, Misha interjected, "You know, you should really thank Ria for her help later. She's the one who turned your disaster of a presentation into something that doesn't look like it belongs in the trash."

"Fine! I will. But only if she promises to help me with my next project too," Aarav agreed, raising an eyebrow.

"Deal! But if I'm going to help, you need to listen to my ideas. No more ignoring me because I'm the little sister," Ria insisted, her tone playful yet firm.

"Deal," Aarav chuckled, shaking her hand.

As they continued working, Misha couldn't help but feel a swell of pride for her younger brother and sister. Despite the occasional bickering, the bond they shared was unbreakable, strengthened through their support for one another.

Just then, Ria paused and looked thoughtfully at Misha. "By the way, when did Anaya come home today? I haven't seen her since this morning."

Misha leaned back in her chair, tapping her chin. "She mentioned taking a half day for college work. She really is dedicated to her studies."

Ria nodded, a hint of admiration in her voice. "I wish I could be as motivated as her sometimes. I always feel like I'm falling behind."

"You're not falling behind. Everyone has their own pace. Just focus on what you love and you'll be fine," Misha reassured her, smiling softly.

"Thanks, sis. That actually helps," Ria said, feeling encouraged.

Part 4: Anaya's Resolve

Meanwhile, back at Tech High, Anaya settled at her desk after her encounter with Rubi. She opened her laptop and quickly gathered the necessary materials for her college project. Her heart raced with anticipation as she prepared to tackle the tasks ahead.

The office was quieter now, and Anaya took a moment to reflect on her goals. She had always dreamed of making a significant impact in her field, and this internship was her stepping stone. She couldn't let petty drama deter her from her aspirations.

As she immersed herself in her work, the hours slipped by unnoticed. She crafted presentation slides, infusing them with her creativity and determination. Her fingers danced over the keyboard, and soon, her project began to take shape.

After a while, Anaya stood up, stretching her legs and grabbing a quick drink from the kitchen. She glanced at her watch and realized she had a few more hours before she needed to leave.

Suddenly, her phone buzzed with a text from Misha: "Ria and Aarav are working on the presentation. Can't wait for dinner tonight! Are you coming home soon?"

Anaya smiled at the thought of her siblings and quickly replied, "Yes! I'll be home before dinner. Can't wait to see you all!"

Feeling motivated, she returned to her desk, ready to finish the last touches of her project. Just as she was getting into the groove, her phone buzzed again. This time, it was a message from Ria: "Rubi was just here, and she made a fool of herself! You should've seen it!"

Anaya chuckled, curiosity piqued. "What did she do?"

Ria replied, "Just wait until dinner! I'll spill all the tea then. Hurry up!"

As Anaya finished up her work, she felt a sense of accomplishment. She had managed to navigate the office dynamics while still focusing on her goals. With a satisfied smile, she packed her bag and headed out of the office, eager to join her family for dinner.

Part 5: Family Reunion

The sun dipped below the horizon as Anaya arrived home, casting the mansion in a warm, orange glow. The familiar scents of dinner wafted through the air, wrapping around her like a comforting blanket.

Entering the dining room, she was greeted by the cheerful chatter of her family. Misha and Aarav were animatedly discussing their presentation, while Ria animatedly recounted her encounter with Rubi.

"...and then she just looked at me like I was dirt!" Ria exclaimed, her eyes wide with excitement. "You should've seen her face when I told her I was working with Aarav. Priceless!"

Anaya couldn't help but laugh as she joined the table. "What did you say?"

"I told her that I was helping with Aarav's presentation! Her face turned bright red!" Ria replied, her laughter infectious.

"Sounds like you had a fun day," Anaya said, taking a seat beside Rudra, who had just returned from work. The warmth in the room felt comforting, and she appreciated the love that surrounded her.

"I did! Misha is making sure Aarav doesn't fail," Ria teased, throwing a playful glance at her brother.

"Hey! I'm doing my best!" Aarav protested, his cheeks slightly flushed. "Thanks to you, though, it's coming together."

Misha grinned, proud of her younger brother. "We'll make sure he gets it right. Right, Ria?"

"Of course! The Singhaniya legacy depends on it!" Ria said dramatically, causing everyone to chuckle.

Just then, their mother, Rakhi Singhaniya, entered the room carrying a large serving dish filled with fragrant biryani. "Dinner is served!" she announced, her voice filled with warmth and authority.

As they gathered around the table, the atmosphere felt vibrant and alive. The soft glow of the chandelier above bathed the room in golden light, creating an inviting ambiance.
