At an altitude of 10,000 meters, a sleek fighter with a wingspan of 20 meters cut through the air with astonishing speed.
Storm and Cyclops occupied the pilot and co-pilot seats, while Shadowcat, Colossus, Carl, and Wolverine sat in the rear.
"We're currently flying at supersonic speeds, set to reach our destination in just two hours, covering over 3,000 miles for our mission," Storm announced calmly from the cockpit.
"Our top priority is the rescue mission," she continued, outlining the plan.
"When the time comes, I'll engage the enemy head-on, drawing their attention," Scott added.
"Logan, Carl, you'll utilize Kitty's phasing ability to infiltrate the research facility, secure the children's safety, neutralize threats from within, and rendezvous with us," Storm instructed.
"But Kitty's defensive capabilities are limited, so ensure her safety at all costs," she reminded them.
"Carl, you've memorized the layout of the facility?" Storm inquired.
"I've got it all up here," Carl confirmed, tapping his temple.
"In addition to the trapped mutants, any hostile forces within the facility, including retired special forces or researchers, are fair game," Professor Xavier affirmed sternly.
"Understood," Carl acknowledged with a nod.
Logan shot Carl a glance, sensing an unusual level of readiness in the young student. It struck him as odd that Carl seemed unfazed by the prospect of taking lives.
Despite being on his first mission, there was a distinct absence of nerves in Carl's demeanor.
Kitty, sitting across from Carl, observed him curiously. "Are you not nervous, Carl?"
Carl paused for a moment before replying, "Not particularly."
Impressed, Kitty remarked, "No wonder Professor Xavier spoke highly of your composure. Compared to me, you're a rock."
"I remember my first fight; my heart was racing," she confessed.
"It's alright," Carl replied with a small smile.
Unbeknownst to them, Carl's connection to this world as a traveler was not as strong, leaving him somewhat detached. Moreover, with his speed reaching 200 meters per second and the ability to deliver blows with the force of dozens of tons, Carl felt more excitement than fear for the upcoming battle.
Finally, a battle we can fully engage in.
...
Mexico, a vast country with the eleventh largest population in the world, finds itself in turmoil.
In the dead of night, on the outskirts of the city of Koro, above a structure known as the Chris Institute, the sky erupted with light, followed by the thunderous descent of fighter jets.
Such a significant disturbance immediately caught the attention of the guards stationed at the institute's entrance.
Inside, the two guards instinctively sounded the alarm, then rushed out armed with miniature submachine guns.
Amidst the blaring sirens of Ulla Ula, everyone within the institute was jolted awake.
Within the five-story circular building, a cadre of armed men, brandishing pistols, submachine guns, and even bazookas, emerged from every shadowy corner.
This is Mexico.
A land where private militias, often better equipped than official law enforcement, reign supreme.
Roar! Roar!
In that moment, a gale of incredible force suddenly swept across the sky, enshrouding the entire institute, blotting out the heavens so those who emerged were blinded by its intensity.
At a height of 100 meters, Storm hovered in the air before gracefully descending.
Her eyes, now alight with power, glowed white, emanating potent energy fluctuations. Her cloak billowed behind her as she rode the wind, guiding her descent towards the fighter's designated landing spot, the field in front of the institute.
Suddenly, from behind a window on the building's third floor, an armed man wielding a bazooka darted forward, braving the fierce winds, poised to trigger the fighter's launch.
Click!
In that critical moment, Storm extended her right hand, lightning crackling across the sky in a blinding flash. A bolt of brilliance struck true, descending upon the man with deadly precision.
Boom!
The searing blaze of lightning not only claimed the life of the ex-special forces soldier in an instant but also triggered the bazooka's explosive payload.
In an instant, flames erupted, igniting a fiery shockwave that razed everything in its path.
Click, click!!
Following the initial burst of thunder, came the second, then the third...
Guided by Storm's mastery, bolts of lightning descended relentlessly, striking all corners of the square and the surrounding structures.
In the blink of an eye, over a dozen armed assailants who rushed out were met with swift demise, their bodies swept away by the force.
Simultaneously, the relentless barrage of lightning and howling winds kept the remaining armed personnel within the building subdued, preventing any escape.
Amidst Storm's onslaught, the Blackbird fighter descended smoothly, touching down firmly on the ground.
As the fighter's door swung open, Scott emerged with a determined expression.
Gazing upon the sinister edifice of the research institute before him, Scott extended his hand to adjust his glasses, the red light gleaming as two fully charged laser beams erupted forth.
Boom!
The fiery shockwave-infused lasers spanned a hundred meters in an instant.
Upon impact with the building, they expanded to a thickness of half a meter, swiftly piercing through with annihilating force, triggering a violent explosion.
With a slight tilt of Scott's head, the dazzling laser beams began their meticulous motion.
Like a hot knife through butter, they sliced through the building from left to right.
Boom, boom, boom!!
Wherever the laser passed, walls disintegrated, flames erupted, and the roar was deafening.
The sheer ferocity of the assault left ordinary staff inside trembling in fear, scrambling desperately towards the exits.
Faced with the might of mutants, these ordinary individuals were powerless to resist.
As Storm and Cyclops unleashed their onslaught, Carl, following closely behind, couldn't help but exclaim at the ferocity of their firepower.
In a flash, Wolverine and Kitty darted past, seizing the opportunity amidst the chaos to infiltrate the building from the side.
