Chapter 2 - CHP 2: Testing...

"So, where should I even start?" Jacob asked himself. He Looked through his bedroom windows... According to his memories. he had just returned from his school not too long ago.

He walked over, and sat on his bed, 'Luckily, I go to the same school the main characters goes to, so I should be able to see some way for me to get some good DNA. Daniel, and others at this point are in their early stages, so they wont be that strong and are actually rather weak...'

"Still, since I have these busted abilities on my side... I think I should absorb a couple of things before the day ends. The game never fully explored how busted mercer really was and how powerful his abilities truly were..." Jacob walked out of his room.

He quickly headed downstairs to see what he could do at this point...

"Alright... Since I can absorb DNA, and practically the traits of all things, what should I even start with?" He looked around his yard for anything to absorb. Not really seeing much of any animal around, he looked at a bunch of insects that were there...

He glossed over many, but he quickly looked back, stopping at an obvious choice...

'I'm so dumb! Ants! Can't they carry up to like 100 times their own body weight?' He thought, he didn't waste time and quickly killed a bunch, picking them up off the dirt.

And due to luckily living in a secluded area, he didn't have to watch out for anyone or clearly much of anything.

'Here goes...' He thought, willing the black tendrils in his right hand to morph, absorbing the ants fully...

Instantly, he could feel a warm current flow through his flesh, organs and even his bones...

'T-This feels, amazing... Is this what Alex felt like after getting decent DNA?' He asked himself. However, the process as quickly as it came, was quickly over...

"..."

"...I don't really feel that much different, my muscles feel kinda flexible, and lighter in a way, I can check if there are changes... Anyway, Status!"

"My strength limit increased by 10 times! Well shit, and I got night vision too, sweet!" He yelled ecstatically.

But as soon as he did so, he lumped back downward, 'Though, I gotta fix my lack of potential... My abilities in the future are limited by my body it seems... Maybe if I absorb Daniel's DNA, I can have the physique perfect enough to handle my abilities...'

That was his theory in which to likely bypass that problem, but at the moment he was satisfied with his level of gains for what it was worth...

"If I can gain this much from ants; What could other animals and insects give me? If I ate a bird, couldn't I potentially develop wings and fly?" Jacob smiled.

'If I don't wake up by tomorrow, I'm sooo gonna love this new life of mine. And, since I don't have much to do; I'll look up some creatures I'll need to absorb... Then, I can deal with the plot of lookism.'

With that thought, Jacob binged in front of the computer to search for any creatures that he could find that would give him abilities.

Minutes, turned into hours, and hours turned to answers...

"*phew!* I think I'm finally finished..." He wrote down a host of creatures that were on his list to feed on. And if the system was right about stackable. He'll even be much more powerful than people around his own level of strength.

After doing his research, Jacob noted that he didn't feel an inch of exhaustion...

'I guess I really do have infinite stamina... Wait, I have high-speed regeneration too...' As if a lightbulb appeared above his head...

'Doesn't that mean I can train without rest, theoretically at least?' He asked himself. He knew that he can regenerate forever without limit if given enough time, and he doesn't consume energy like regular beings. In theory, he can train forever without worrying about food, and such things.

Jacob smiled to himself, 'I really did make a god-like wish...' He laughed to himself. Since he felt no exhaustion. He quickly dropped to the ground, getting into a push-up stance.

"GUH!"

'M-M-My, hands!... They, can't keep up with my body weight... But, I need to push!' Jacob, kept up the stance, not even doing the full push-up either. He just wanted to hold himself with buckling...

However, as he did so, he suddenly felt a warm sensation filling his arms and chest...

Once again, minutes turned into multiple hours, and finally, Alex could somewhat keep him self from shaking while holding himself upwards...

.

.

.

After a few hours of holding himself up, he stopped, sitting on the floor...

"I must have gotten a little stronger from all that... Status..." He peaked at his stats, realizing that he was indeed right.

'My strength moved from 20kg to 31kg... That was, disappointing... Isn't the black-light able to evolve the more pressure it's under?' This wasn't adding up to him, but he looked at his own status again...

He carefully looked at each stat, and then he stopped at one specifically...

'Talent... Is the evolution of the black-light connected to my shitty talent value? It might be...'

He cursed to himself. But, there was nothing he could do about this now. He needed to hurry, and move on to a verse with better individuals to consume, and at this point, he was getting nowhere...

He looked over at his clock, seeing it was already 5 am in the next day, showing how long he had spent doing that one exercise...

'Since I have some decent knowledge on lookism; I'll see if I can get Daniels blood tomorrow, I won't be wasting anytime on anything else. He comes first, others can be good candidates though...'
