Sidius couldn't help but grimace, muttering to himself, "Practicing the technique in my spiritual mind and in physical form is different. I only made few 15 cuts this time, and the power behind them is far from being lethal."
However, despite this. Sidius alternated between intense practice and brief moments of rest to replenish his mana. The drive to master this formidable technique pushed him to move forward.
'The power between cuts were getting stronger as I practice but the mana required were increasing too,' he thought as he began to examine his training. However, this did not stop his determination to master the technique.
'Okay, let's continue!' Sidius declared as he return to his practice.
An eternity seemed to have slipped away within the confines of that training room, but eventually, Sidius came to a grinding halt. A stark realization washed over him as he had dedicated a full ten hours straight to relentless practice.
He took a moment to regain his composure and decided to left the training room behind.
Outside, he found some of the training rooms was lit up. It means that there were still students deeply engrossed in their own rigorous training routines.
Sidius also yearned to stay and practice for more. However, he had a pressing matter awaiting his attention.
Sidius decided to make his way towards Miss Morningsnow's office. He navigated through the faculty rooms where the offices of professors are located.
Upon arriving at the professor's door, he heard the voice of Miss Morningsnow acknowledging his presence.
With a soft click on the doorknob, Sidius entered the room. The subtle fragrance of the amberflaw plant emanated through his nose, giving a sweet scent.
He glanced at the person seated in front who seemed to be waiting for him to say something.
Without wasting time on pleasantries, Sidius did not hesitate to dove right into the conversation.
"How's the company doing?" he inquired, sitting down on the chair opposite to Miss Morningsnow.
Amelia was momentarily taken aback by his straightforwardness but she quickly composed herself and offered a warm smile.
"The company is doing well. The first batch of your magic plates will be ready for sale next week, and we're currently focused on the advertising."
Sidius nodded in acknowledgement. He knew that Amelia can get the work done without his instruction.
"Any interesting news?" he asked, completely switching the topic.
Hearing Sidius' inquiry, Amelia's demeanor shifted and her expression grew serious.
"There's a rumor circulating that someone has successfully cleared the infamous Fiery Mist and is planning to auction it," she stated pausing briefly, her tone takimg an even graver note. "And, I almost forgot, but there's another rumor that someone joined the fray and is auctioning a Spirit Divine Pill."
The mention of a "divine pill" left Sidius in shocked. This was no ordinary revelation. It was the revival of a long-lost pill from the legends.
Noticing Sidius' conflicted reaction, Miss Morningsnow couldn't help but tease.
"With the elixir of life, the dungeon key to Fiery Mist, and that divine pill, many powerhouses were attracted..." her words trailed off as she studied Sidius, attempting to gauge his thoughts.
Amelia knew just how crucial the Elixir of Life was to him. Yet, surprisingly, Sidius remained composed. She had anticipated him to be on the brink of agony upon hearing the news.
But contrary to Amelia's expectation, Sidius was hiding his excitement underneath his calm facade. As if he had just stumbled upon a hidden treasure.
In reality, he was currently processing the information, mapping out possible scenarios to adjust his plans accordingly.
The news of this divine pill was important to him. It was a game-changer.
Based on the knowledge he accumulated for the past years, there was record of this pill being used in ancient times but there was no proof.
'If the rumor turned out true then… this is really big news!' Sidius muttered in joy.
Soon, a fant grin crept across his face as he came to an appropriate plan to deal with the situation but he set it aside for the future.
Sidius focused on more pressing matter and retrieved his expansion bag, unveiling the preserved corpses of fiery monkeys along with a colossal fiery ape.
Glancing at the ground full of corpses, Amelia struggled to process the grim reality sprawled before her. The numerous lifeless forms hinted Sidius's sinister reputation.
Miss Morningsnow's stunned expression didn't escape Sidius' notice as he made an unusual request, "Could you possibly purchase these corpses on behalf of the school canteen?"
Eventually, she managed to find her voice, "Y-you—"
"What's wrong Miss Morningsnow?" Sidius interjected calmly, meeting her gaze.
"W-where did you get these from?"
"From a dungeon?" Sidius calmly replied.
"I know that! Tell me which dungeon it is!" Miss Morningsnow shouted, eager to know the name of the dungeon it came from.
"Ah!" Sidius faked a realization and decided to indulge her with a hint of mischief. "The name's Fiery Mist," he declared.
Hearing the confirmation, Amelia sighed and returned to her seat. She composed herself and glanced at Sidius to inquire once more, "Who cleared it?"
"Who do you think?" Sidius returned the question, allowing her imagination to wander.
Amelia treated his words as the confirmation she sought. She trusted Sidius' abnormal strength, which had clearly conquered the said dungeon.
Sidius did not gave her a moment to think any further and persisted, "So, can you buy them?"
"Yes, I can, but this will put me in a rather difficult situation, wouldn't you say?" her previous contemplative expression took on a sly twist as she teased Sidius again.
"I've already taken that into account, Miss Morningsnow. You see, no one returned alive without clearing the Fiery Mist. How can they know that these corpses came from that dungeon?" Sidius countered, wearing a confident smile.
Miss Morningsnow couldn't help but think, 'Cunning kid!'. Yet, she quickly changed her stance as she recognize the necessity for cleverness in their dealings.
Smiling, she leaned on her back as she entertained the seemingly harmless debate.
"That doesn't change the fact that these fiery corpses arrived following the successful raid of the Fiery Mist," she commented after much consideration.
Sidius grinned and offer a solution, "It's simple, Miss Morningsnow. Just tell them these corpses originated from dungeons associated with fire, but not from Fiery Mist."
However, Amelia remained skeptical and continued to argue. "That will only raise more suspicions."
"Then, I can simply assume that my 'business partner' was only capable at that level," Sidius refuted, completely turning the tables.
