Similarly, Nadine ordered five units of each model, and she also bought all the solar panels available in their warehouse.
These were all consumables; once they were used up, they would be gone.
With the generator sorted out, it was time to focus on electrical appliances.
Nadine strolled through the electrical appliance market and noticed that despite L Country's advanced technology, many household appliances were not as good as those in Hua Country.
As a gesture, she bought a refrigerator, a washing machine, a dryer, and an air conditioner, each the latest model, and then prepared to inquire about the purchase of a Hummer at the car dealership.
While waiting at a red light halfway there, she coincidentally stopped in front of a car dealership.
Without hesitation, Nadine drove straight to the dealership.
After a brief glance, she realized that the dealership didn't have the Hummer she wanted, but they did have the refrigerated trucks and RVs she had planned to purchase.
Originally, she had intended to buy refrigerated trucks and RVs in her home country, but buying them in L Country meant lower vehicle taxes, which could save her a lot of money.
Upon entering the store, she approached the nearest male staff member to inquire about buying a car.
Before she could even speak, she received a couple of disdainful glances.
"Sorry, madam! Our dealership does not accept visits. Please leave as soon as possible and do not disturb our work," the man said arrogantly, with his head held high, looking down his nose at her.
Nadine almost burst out laughing and bypassed him to approach the girl in the corner, saying, "I want to buy a car. Can you come and help me?"
The girl was from Hua Country, named Liu Mei, studying here and working part-time.
Judging by the attitudes of the others, it was evident that she was being bullied and marginalized here.
"Heh, buy a car? Do you think she can afford it? The cheapest car here is 300,000 L coins! If she can afford the cars here, I'll eat this cup," the man said sarcastically to his colleague.
Nadine chuckled lightly and then took out her card from her bag, handing it to Liu Mei, "Miss Liu, two units of the latest model of RV, type ABC, each."
Everyone present was shocked, looking at Nadine incredulously.
Liu Mei's hand trembled as she took the card.
There were murmurs all around, "Buying six RVs at once? Must be fake, right? This model of RV is not cheap at all!"
"I bet that card won't go through."
However, in the next moment, there was a beep, indicating that the card transaction was successful.
A large order was completed.
Liu Mei was on the verge of tears at the thought of the commission she would receive.
Meanwhile, the man who had threatened to eat the cup stared wide-eyed, watching Liu Mei swipe the card and complete the transaction. The cup in his hand fell to the ground, shattering into four pieces.
As if his heart had broken into four pieces.
"Remember to pick it up and eat it!" Nadine taunted.
Ignoring the shocked onlookers, Nadine continued to the adjacent area to look at the refrigerated trucks, each the latest model: 4.2 meters, 6.8 meters, 8.6 meters, and 9.6 meters, two units of each.
Word of a big customer had spread, and the manager of the dealership came out personally to attend to her.
Upon hearing Nadine's request, the dealership manager shook his head regretfully.
"Madam, this refrigerated truck contains the latest refrigeration technology from L Country. The government has issued a notice that it cannot be exported for sale. If you buy it, you can only use it in L Country and cannot take it out of the country."
She had long been aware of L Country's restrictions on Hua Country's technology, but she hadn't expected even a small refrigerated truck to be exempt.
If it couldn't be exported, then so be it. She had space and didn't need to go through customs procedures anyway.
Nadine shrugged, "The cars I'm buying are meant to be used in L Country anyway, so you don't have to worry."
The dealership manager thought a big order was about to slip away, but upon hearing that Nadine still wanted to buy even if it couldn't be exported, his voice trembled with excitement, and he became even more attentive to Nadine.
After completing all the formalities, the dealership arranged for the cars to be delivered to Nadine's designated warehouse.
Taking this opportunity, Nadine directly inquired about the purchase of military Hummers from the dealership manager.
"Do you have Hummers here?" she asked curiously.
The dealership manager replied, "We do have them. If you want, I can offer you a 10% discount."
Nadine inquired further, "You have them here? Why didn't I see them?"
The dealership manager looked disdainful, "Those big, clunky vehicles are useless except for being sturdy. Barely anyone buys them, and it's a waste of space to display them."
Sturdy was good; she liked things that were sturdy and durable.
Seeing Nadine's genuine interest and being a big customer for the dealership, the manager personally led her to the back of the garage.
The doors opened, revealing six brand new Hummers neatly parked inside.
Nadine pointed at the door, "Are these windows bulletproof?"
The dealership manager replied, "Bulletproof? Only military Hummers are bulletproof; these ones aren't. If you want bulletproof ones, we can modify them for an additional cost."
Nadine didn't hesitate to entrust the modification to the dealership manager as well, which meant another substantial commission for him.
To thank Nadine for being such a big customer, the dealership manager even took the initiative to give her a second-hand military Hummer that had been phased out by the L military in Lala Country.
"It may be second-hand, but it was custom-made for the war in Lala Country. Its performance and sturdiness are absolutely extraordinary."
A free car? Nadine certainly wasn't going to refuse.
After paying the money and setting the delivery time, she left the dealership feeling satisfied.
Before leaving, Nadine reminded Liu Mei, the saleswoman, that if the weather permitted, she could consider returning to her home country for a visit.
Given the discriminatory attitudes of L Country people, Hua Country people would definitely not be treated kindly here in the apocalypse.
With this trip to L Country, apart from gasoline and weapons, everything else was basically sorted.
On the last day, she decided to visit the major supermarkets to see what else she could buy.
The supermarkets in L Country were mostly warehouse-style, catering to customers who wanted to stock up.
After all, it was inconvenient to make multiple trips back and forth, so it made sense for people to stock up for several weeks at a time.
The ground floor was all fresh produce, including meat, eggs, dairy products, seafood, vegetables, and fruits.
Since they had supplies from the farms, she didn't need to buy much in terms of meat, eggs, and dairy products. She bought a few hundred pounds of less common and cheaper meats like rabbit, deer, and alligator.
As for vegetables and fruits, she grabbed a portion of each, whether familiar or not.
Having plenty of food stocked up was always a good idea.
She bought the most seafood, including various types of fish, shrimp, crabs, oysters, sea cucumbers, and scallops.
Comparing the prices to those in her home country, she found that seafood was actually cheaper in L Country, so she bought dozens of boxes without hesitation.
Salmon alone was divided into several types, including dog salmon, pink salmon, silver salmon, king salmon, and red salmon, adding up to over a hundred boxes.
