Chereads / Return: Hero Master / Chapter 14 - School Break (3)

Chapter 14 - School Break (3)

In front of the exit door at Jaymar House, I use my spatial magic teleportation to return home. After stepping out, I feel a little dizzy; I never get used to this sensation every time I teleport, but it never compares to my first time using it. Initially, I thought affinity could only be obtained through a blessing. However, after awakening, I only had D-rank skills. Some people receive affinity with their skills, while others only receive affinity; it's called blessings from the system. As you know, mine is trash. That's what I thought at first, but let's talk about that another time.

For now, I'll explain why I have a rare affinity called spatial magic. At that time, I had just finished defeating a monster that emerged from a crack in the fissure. I saw a black, dark stone with runic patterns on it. I used my skill called All-Seeing Eyes of God, a skill I received from the system on another mission.

I didn't know how to use it. I was about to put it in my dimensional space, but before I could, it cracked, and some kind of black liquid entered my body, causing me to lose consciousness. Upon waking up, I felt dizzy and checked my status for any effects, but instead, something caught my eye. I saw that my affinity now included Chaos and Spatial. That's how I acquired my chaos and spatial magic. Initially, I could only use it for short-distance teleportation, but after mastering it, I could finally use it for long distances, although it consumed a lot of mana.

I only used it when necessary, so I used it to return home because it was already late. After teleporting to my apartment, I noticed that Ferdinand was already gone; it was already night, after all. I took a shower and collapsed onto my bed, surveying my room. There's still a lot to do to live a comfortable life, but first, I need to rid myself of those evil cultists. After that, I can build my own guild and live comfortably.

I want to meet my disciples, or should I say, the heads of the three great clans. At first, I didn't expect to be the master of those three big shots. How have they been doing all these years? Why haven't they looked for me yet? At first, it was understandable because I hadn't been summoned to another world at that time, but now that I have returned, they're still not looking for me. Did they forget the time of my return and summoning? Maybe that's the reason.

I'll just visit them after I'm settled. After pondering these things, my eyes slowly closed, and I fell asleep."

Earl Grey POV

Spear Clan Resident

In a large training room comparable to a 3x soccer field, there's a guy with jet-black hair and ocean blue eyes practicing spearmanship. Every movement he makes looks elegant, with his hair fluttering with every swing, and his ruby eyes focused like he's hunting prey. He continues for two hours, his dedication unwavering. After finishing, a woman with red hair wearing glasses and wearing a maid uniform approaches him and hands him a towel.

"As expected of the young master, you're always working hard, but I noticed it's more intense than usual," the maid said.

"It's just normal for me to do this if I want to become stronger. But, Frina, did you send my request to Father?" Earl Grey inquired.

"Yes, Young Master, but he hasn't replied yet. Perhaps he's busy," Frina replied.

"Understandable, especially after what happened to Mom, and with the increasing number of dungeons and the denser mana in the atmosphere," Earl said, his face tinged with sadness.

'But I need to meet Father; I need to tell him about the student who mastered our spear technique, Crius Raven. Who really are you? I've been practicing the spear technique since I was a child, yet I still haven't mastered it. But a stranger, the same age as me, has mastered it. How does that make sense? I need to become stronger; I can't be satisfied if I can't become stronger than him. Just you wait; I'll become stronger than any of you.'

With determination in his eyes, Earl Grey points his spear and assumes his stance, ready to continue practicing his spearmanship.

In a dark room, only the light from a TV screen is visible, illuminating a figure gazing at the screen.

"How's the transportation route? You know we need a way to transport those children we kidnapped. How can we transport them if you still don't have a plan?" a voice emanates from the screen.

"You don't have to worry about that. The people I've sent will ensure that the payment is made to the individuals who will be stationed on the inspection route to the root that our men will take. So rest assured, it's all according to our plan," the figure responds confidently.

"Is that so? If you fail, you'll never get what you wanted. So make sure things go your way," the voice warns before the call ends.
