"I'm Crius Raven," I said, finally introducing myself.
Our teacher guided us to the training ground as we walked, I could see the immense size of our school. It's not called the top 1 Awaken Academy for nothing. I noticed my classmates' expressions filled with surprise and nervousness. I can't blame them; even in this new world, things are entirely different, from the technology to the materials used. Even an SS-class hero would have a hard time breaking in.
Upon arriving, I took a moment to observe my surroundings. It was a secure facility, adorned with various training dummies made from top-quality materials and an array of weapon displays. The spacious area was designed for students to practice their abilities, complete with carefully designed targets and obstacles. State-of-the-art technology like holographic projectors and motion sensors provided realistic simulations. Multiple weapon displays showcased an arsenal of specialized tools tailored to enhance each student's unique power set.
"Now you can choose a weapon you specialize in. I'll be leaving for a bit; I have something to attend to. Remember, even though it's your first day, you can't just do whatever you want. Keep training. I'll be back," our teacher said before stepping away.
As our teacher left, I pondered over which weapon would be the best choice for me. I had skills with the bow, spear, sword, shield, and magic. During our battle against the demon king, I mainly used magic and occasionally wielded a weapon. However, my disciples had already been assigned roles, leaving me to focus mainly on healing and buffing them. Maybe it was time to try something I hadn't used in a long time. I had only taught Ren a few spear techniques before focusing solely on magic and supporting them. The spear was an excellent weapon, offering range and defense with its long size.
After deciding on the spear, I approached a training dummy not far away from me. Taking my stance, I began practicing my slashing and stabbing techniques. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed a guy about 10 meters away, looking at me with a hint of anger. He slowly approached me, his irritation evident.
"Hey, how and where did you learn your spearmanship?" the guy asked with a slightly aggressive tone.
"I learned it on my own," I replied honestly.
"Don't bullsh*t me. Just by observing your movements, I can already tell that you've stolen our clan's spearmanship. Did you steal our martial arts? You know, stealing martial arts is a grave sin."
"I'm telling you the truth. If you don't believe me, then get lost."
"This arrogant bastard... If I find out that you're lying after investigating, you better prepare yourself," he threatened.
Dealing with this confrontation, I couldn't help but think, "I finally understand how the main characters in novels feel when they encounter spoiled young masters. Should I just ignore him? After all, he's still a kid. I mean, even though I look the same age as him, I'm ten years older. Sigh, after spending ten years away, I finally return, and now this young master is ruining my mood."
Our teacher glanced at me with a raised eyebrow, filled with curiosity. "Is that true, Crius? Have you been practicing the Great Spear Clan's techniques without their clan's authorization?"
I took a deep breath and met her gaze. "I just saw it being used by one of the members of the Spear Clan. I copied it because I thought it was cool," I lied, of course.
She looked at me with curiosity. "I just wanted to see how you could perform a technique that you had just seen."
While demonstrating the technique, I made it look like it was my first time using a spear.
"Hmm, the posture is lacking, and the way you swing the spear is unrefined. So, I believe him, Earl. If you don't believe it, you can investigate yourself. I'm here to teach, not to question or criticize your technique. What are all of you looking at? Go back to your training! While you train, I will call you one by one for a spar so I can know what you are capable of. Get ready."
Earl glanced at me suspiciously and returned to his training.
Finally, our teacher called us one by one. Only half of us participated, as our class was already over. While I thought about what to do on my way home, I remembered that we were already rich. I needed to quickly go home and check the contents of my dimensional bag. I knew it contained 100 gold bars, with each gold bar weighing 100kg, so I had 10,000kg of gold. I wasn't sure about the current gold price, so I needed to calculate it.
"I'm home!"
Upon arriving inside our small house, I saw my little sister watching TV and eating chips.
"What's up, big bro? You came home earlier than I expected. Wait, wait, wait, did you get taller just by attending the top Awaken Academy? And what's with your arms? They look completely different from before. In the morning, you looked like a lizard, and now you look like an actual human being. What happened?!"
"Yeah, right. We just trained so hard that I lost weight. Never mind that. What's with the lizard? I'm not that bad looking!" After looking at my graduation pictures on the side of the TV, I finally realized that I really did look like a lizard a bit.
"So, where is Mom?" I asked.
"Mom is in the kitchen cooking. You should take a shower; you're all stink."
"Yeah, yeah. I'll take a shower first. This brat."
After taking a shower, I finally checked the contents of my dimensional bag. I put my hand inside and imagined what was inside. I could see the gold, and oh, there's an egg and mana stones. My weapons, sword, bow, spear, staff, and mithril, a high-quality material. Damn, I could make 20 high-quality weapons. Oh, I forgot to mention, I have a blacksmithing skill. I obtained it while helping the dwarves evacuate from the Demon King's invasion on Mount Lakash, where the small kingdom of dwarves lies. The same as my weapons, they are one of the Dwarf King's masterpieces. My weapons have their own egos. Originally, the Dwarf King was only going to give me one weapon, but half of his weapons from his storage just flew towards me, so I ended up taking them all. I felt bad for the Dwarf King at that time, but I forgot his name. How do you pronounce it? I just ended up forgetting it. Back to my bag, oh, it has gems too. I don't really want to take them. Maybe King Ashnard just put half of his royal treasures into my dimensional bag.. .they haven't fully recovered from the Demon King wars and yet... sigh. I never really understood that king. On the first day I summoned, he was the only one who believed in me. The others saw me as weak, but he was different. I just got home, and now I'm starting to miss him.
First, I need to manage the treasures. If I suddenly sell mithril or gems, someone might get suspicious, and it could put my family in danger. So, I need to be careful. First, I need to find a goldsmith to melt the gold into smaller pieces or make jewelry. Or I could just hide or disguise myself and sell it on the black market. I need to think it through carefully.
After careful consideration, I decided to craft jewelry and sell it in small proportions. I also needed a bank account that couldn't be traced. I knew just the right guy for that. But before that, I needed to eat.
"Brother, dinner is ready!"
"Just the right time." Walking out of my room, I smelled a delicious, familiar scent. Yeah, I'm really back, huh?
