"Kartikk... " She said lazily while wrapping her legs around my torso and leaning her head on my torso.
"Hmm" I asked creasing her back softly.
She looked at me, resting her chin on my chest and replied with a pout, "Am hungry"
I smiled at her and pecked at her nose. "Come let's feed your tummy then" I said cooing her and stood up picking her up. She wrapped her hands around my neck.
We were walking out side the room suddenly she tapped on my shoulder "Kartik... Kartik... Wait.... "
I stopped and looked at her confused, "What happened sweeta! "
"Kitty" She said pointing towards her kitty sitting in the corner of the room.
But.... Ahhh!!
"Baby.... What I was saying, see you picked it up from middle of the road, am not saying anything in that regard but we still need to get it checked by the vet doctor just to confirm she is not having any infection or something. " I said her in calm tone, an attempt to explain her.
She looked at me with a pout and blinked her eyes. Then she looked at kitty. "Kartik... Look at her na... She's too cute. Do you think she has some infections? "
"Baby we can't take risk. I promise I'll call doctor now itself and he'll he here in 10 minutes pakka" I said and started walking outwards with a sad pout on her face.
I don't want to hurt her or her kitty. And it's not that I am not in favour of keeping it here, she can keep it here forever if she is happy. Am totally okay with that. But Shivi's safety is still the priority. I just want to confirm her kitty is safe, without check up I'll not get satisfaction.
I locked the door of her room gaining glares from Shivi, which I ignored because this is important.
I ruffled her hair but she winced. Ufff she is angry again!!
But I'll make up afterwards as I know her kitty would be safe if not I'll treat it because if that creature got heart of my shivi then no matter even if I am jealous, it will be with her as long as she is happy.
I reached down, and kept her softly on the chair near dinning table.
"Baby, wait here for a second I'll be back with food okay" I said creasing her cheeks.
But she did her head down on the table, to the other side and replied silently, "I'll eat after Kitty's check up"
I signed and kneeled down near her, "Sweeta, just..... " I was going to say something but she cut in between.
"No... Nahh... Nothing" She replied in a flat tone.
"Uffff" I said under my breath and settled on the chair nearby.
I messaged that vet doctor to come here urgently, but I know if he'll drive at the utmost speed still he would take half an hour to reach....!! And She is sitting here with her ballon face. I can't take this much in one day! My heart is aching now!!
I tried to crease her head but she winced again.
"Yeh sahi hai!! Even kitty have someone who cares about her food and everything? But Kartik.... No one here even know that he too hadn't had anything since morning but it's okay hmm" I said in sad tone, hoping that now she'll agree to have something and with that I too bowed my head on the table, to other side.
I feel her head raising and the next moment she was sitting in the chair in front of me facing towards me.
"You hadn't eaten anything!?" She asked slowly.
"Ahm-hmm" I hummed.
She kept her hand above my arm at which I had rested my head, "You seriously hadn't eaten anything since morning? "
She asked in almost low inaudible voice.
I gave her a tight smile and moved my head in no.
She with guilt on her face, started gazing down and replied, "How stupid I am, I didn't even asked you whether you have......?! I just always keep troubling you here and there"
I sat straight, moving towards her and cupped her face, "Heyiee... Who said you trouble me?? Never mera bachaa... It was just I was little busy with office work"
Her expressions suddenly changed to angry one and out of sudden she said loudly, "Why you skipped your food then??"
Which made me take my hands back, as she literally scared me. I was processing what actually happened when she stood up from her chair and started going somewhere.
"You are too careless Kartik. Every time you are like Shivi do this.... Shivi do that... But when it comes to you...?? Where that Mature Kartik flew away?? You know what you are just a kid from inside who is acting to look like a grumpy older man...!!! "
She said all these things while moving from one place to other leaving me open mouthed. I don't know how to react as I never witnessed her scolding me like this...!! Is this My... MY SHIVI?? And did she just called me Older?? No she called me Kid...?? Ahhh on which word do I actually have to get offend???
So I just decided to apologize.
"Am sorry.... But.... Where are you going" I managed to ask my fierce kitten.
And suddenly I heard a loud voice of placing some utensils on kitchen shelf.
What's she's doing. I stood up in hurry and asked, "Sweeta, what are you doing" And was on my way to get near her.
"Keep sitting, don't you dare to come in here" She said from the kitchen which made me sit back at the chair.
"But.... " I was going to say something but then I heard the other thud. I realized she is literally showing her anger to utensils in the kitchen. My heart is urging to get there, I don't want her to hurt herself in the process but to be honest I am too scared to go there, yes it is weird but KARTIK RAJPUT is literally scared from his sweeta.....!!
I had never seen her this side ever. Which instantly bought smile on my face and made my heart heavy at the same time.
I remembered when I was young, even now before she was in my life, when I had so much work, I literally keep starving for days because of work load and there is no one but the empty rooms and silent walls to bother about if I had eaten or not. But now seeing my shivi this way, the feeling of to be cared by someone is... Is... I don't have words to explain... If I would give words to this feeling then it would be injustice to the amount of emotions I am feeling at this moment.
But now I can proudly say, I too have someone who cares about me.... Whose heart beats just for me.... She is that important part of me, without which I would be nothing but just an empty and lifeless skeleton.
And I again heard a thud sound. What actually this kiddo is doing??? I took a deep breath and with tip toe, keeping in mind to not to do even a single sound I walked towards the kitchen. With slow steps, I walked towards her, then I saw her coming towards me.
Shit!! Kartik you are dead. I instantly moved in other direction with phone in my hand, "Yeah Raj....!! Hm Hm Is all set for meeting??"
*Ring* *Ring* *Ring*
What a mind blowing kismat I have!!! And My phone started ringing.
I looked back to look at my already angry kitten, and my stupidity added to it, only to notice her glaring at me with a bowl in her hand.
I smiled at her and cut that call without looking who's this and my one hand automatically moved towards my ear saying sorry.
She sighed and shaked her head moving towards the dining table and I followed her with my head low. I settled at the chair like a student who hadn't prepared for his important test of the most strict teacher.
She slided the bowl in front of me with fruits in it.
"Have it, till I prepare the dinner" She said in a flat tone.
I looked at her with confused expressions, isn't it supposed to be the dinner because this is literally the whole bowl filled up with chopped fruits.
And she gestured me to have it.
And other question... Isn't she having this?? Am I supposed to have it all alone?? And I blinked my eyes innocently at her.
"You skipped your lunch, so you'll be eating two times" She said folding her arms.
I looked at her in disbelief and fake laughed "Ha ha you are joking right?? Nice joke sweeta"
And she looked at me while thinning her eyes, "No.. I am not joking, I want this whole bowl finished until I come back with food"
And she turned back to go inside the kitchen but I held her hand,
"Okay I'll eat it but I am not eating it sitting all alone, be with me" I said her softly.
"Or let me come inside with you" I added.
She looked at me for a while, like she is thinking something.
"Please meri pyaari si jaan" I almost pleaded.
And she sighed, "Okay" She said and I stood up happily with a smile.
"But.... But... But wait.... You'll not say anything in between, promise" She said stretching her open palm towards me.
"I'll try" I said under my breath.
"Hm hm?? " She hummed in questioned tone.
"Nah-nothing.... Promise" I said holding her hand and pecking at it softly.
I grabbed that huge bowl and meanwhile she already went inside. Uffff.... My Sweeta looks adorable when she acts strict or angry but I'll definitely eat whole of her someday if she continue acting this way.
I smiled and followed her inside the kitchen. I sat on the chair near by while she was chopping vegetables.
What is she making??
I tried to peek at the shelf, where so okra (lady finger) were already kept chopped with a frying pan on the gas stove and griddle on other stove. She's looking like a little bunny, trying to reach the stoves for cooking. Ask me how I am suppressing my laugh watching her struggling to even move laddle inside the pan.
I stood up and took the little stool, I specifically bought for her so that she could easily take anything from here as interior of this home is way too above her height for Shivi. Though she looks cute!!!!
I placed that stool near her, she looked at me while making a dough and stood at it silently.
I took her hair falling back and some on her forehead and held them in my one hand. Then I took her clutcher which is always clutched at the pocket of my pant and tied them with it.
I pecked at her cheek and went back to my seat as I know I am here only until I'll not ask her whether she wants any help or not. She is my little independent lady who is NOT A KIDDO!! And doesn't need any help.
She looked at me and then at the spices container placed at the top cupboard and I stood up and took that out for her.
Okay!!! This is not the help actually.!! And I suppressed my chuckle. Trying my best to finish that bowl of fruits she handed me and seeing her making other dishes for me.... Ahhh!!! This would be a hard escape.
I took one apple piece with fork and stretched my arm towards her, and thank God she took it while making something which I realized is *bhindi masala* (stuffed okra).
I definitely need to do gym two times a day if she keep on giving me such oily food. It's not that I don't love the way she cooks. She literally make the tastiest food ever. Better than any restaurant present in this vast universe. And I am addicted to her cooking too but still....!!
Do I dare to say anything to her? Obviously not... !!! So better to have it without saying anything and I swallowed other piece of berrie..!!
I silently stood beside her adoring her every moves and giving her things she needed for making that. I make sure to feed her in between too as I don't want her to get tired.

"Kartik..... It's almost done! Aap jaa kar waha beth jaiye I'll serve it" She said taking out that vegetable in a pot, which almost filled all home with its moth watering fragrance and then she was on the way to take hotcase with hot perfect round roti in it.

I held her hand and pulled her back, "I'll bring these things sweeta" And pecked her head. My kiddo have worked too much today! Not more. For what Kartik is here if she has to do this...!!
"Okay!! But carefully okay" She finally gave in and agreed.
I looked at her and smiled while nodding.
We walked towards the dinning table and I placed that hotcase and bowl on the table. Meanwhile she pulled that chair for me. I locked at her surprised.
And blinked my eyes.
Already I am in love with her, and these acts of her... Uffff!!!
A shy smiled formed on my face, I can feel our roles getting reversed as Shivi is acting too maturely out of sudden and I can feel.... Butterflies no no Zoo.... Actually whole Amazon forest inside me.
I sat on the chair, while my heart, was dancing because of her little gestures and she served food in the plate. And started looking at me excitedly.
I looked at her and took her both hands in my hands and kissed both of them.
"I love you" I said with love.
She blushed and replied stretching each word, "I love you bahoooooot sara"
And I chuckled at her and pulled her into my lap.
I pulled her completely into me that her legs were flying above the floor.
Then I took a morsel and fed her first, though she was urging me to take first bite but my heart would not get satisfy unless she'll have her first bite.
After that, she too fed me the same and believe me when I say that My sweeta is the best cook, with perfect composition of species and just heavenly taste. I can feel my body getting into the taste of that yummiest food. Simple yet delicious. It is just a very heart satisfying meal and as my sweeta made this, which made it just out of the world.
I closed my eyes feeling every bit of it, while I can feel her smiley face looking at me.
When I opened my eyes, she was looking at me excitedly, my expressions were more than enough for making anyone understand how amazing I was feeling I have no words to describe.
Yet to make her more happy, I tried to find words to appreciate her hardwork and extra love she added into it, "Tell me, from which God you learnt the recipe hmm?? It is just too perfect. That is not fair baby girl! You are so talented!! Am so proud of you!!!"
I said and pecked her lips... Then her forehead and she looked down shyly with red cheeks. Adorable!!!
And Then, someone knocked on the main door. It was already open so I just said Come in...!!
Shivi was going to stand up from my lap but I pulled her back.
"Hello sir! " The Vet doctor came inside.
Shivi gave me odd shy looks. But okay!! No matter what, she is not leaving me...! I don't care who is in front. If she is with me in private. She'll be with me in public or in front of anyone else too. She is MY GIRL...!!
"Hello doctor" I replied with my one hand around Shivi.
"Hello doctor Uncle" She too greeted him, which made me smile.
"Hello beta" Doctor too smiled and nodded at her.
" That Cat..... " I was going to say something when shivi snapped her head towards me.
"Kitty.... Kitty.... Is in that room. Please Go and check it" I corrected myself.
He nodded and went upstairs.
Phew!!
And I continued feeding her while she fed me, as always....!!
