Having kicked out the God out of the conversation, Eirik couldn't help but letting out a deep sigh. He was tired.
As soon as he finished talking to Fortuna, all his strength left his body.
When the System Window appeared in front of him, it was as if there was a boulder of pressure that was thrown unto him.
Although he already experience this before when he first talked Fortuna, he couldn't but help but still feel fearful while talking to this God.
Was there some sort of power that Fortuna emitted while talking to him?
How powerful was Fortuna to have his aura leaking even though the system window?
Laying listlessly on the sofa, he looked at the ceiling.
Eirik couldn't help but clench his fist. He was really to weak to the point he could barely survive the talking to a God through the System Window.
He definitely need to get strong.
After staying in that position for a while, the front door opened.
Being brought back to reality due to the noise, Eirik looked towards where it was coming from.
The person who opened the door was Agent Patel together with a briefcase in his hand.
"Oh, you were waiting for me Mr. Eirik?"
It took a second for Eirik to process what Agent Patel meant by.
"I am not waiting for you! I am just here because I was bored."
"Well... Whatever your reason is, I was going to look for you anyway." Agent Patel took as stack of paper from his briefcase and then brought them in front of Eirik. "...here. Because you didn't read the contract you signed, I am giving you this copy to review."
Eirik rudely took the stack of papers and started to read it.
The contract was about him staying under the supervision of Agent Patel until they have a solid lead to his Uncle. This much was what Agent Patel already told him earlier.
Obviously, as any other contract there would be rules and regulations that he needed to follow.
"...Number 1. Party A (Agent Patel) should adhere to the human rights and treat Party B (Eirik) as any other colleague... Isn't kidnapping going against to this rule?"
Upon reading the first clause, Eirik immediately look at Agent Patel as if telling him that he already breached the contract.
What he did earlier by taking him in this place without his consent was clearly kidnapping! And kidnapping goes against Human Rights.
Not getting the response that he was expecting, Eirik continue to read the contract.
'Number 2. Party B (Eirik) should permit Party A (Agent Patel) to follow everywhere he goes. It is recommended that Party B (Eirik) should live together with Party A (Agent Patel).'
Upon reading the second clause, Eirik couldn't help but roll his eyes. It seems like he was living a life no different from back when he was in jail.
Great! No freedom again.
"Number 3. All the needs of the Party B (Eirik) will be provided by the Party A (Agent Patel)...! Is this real?" Eirik asked Agent Patel while disregarding his initial displease towards him earlier.
"Yes. All your expenses will be paid by the Government."
Hearing the answer of Agent Patel, Eirik couldn't help but be happy. It seems like he didn't need to use all his riches if he could have his expenses shouldered by the Government.
Wait... If all his needs can be provided by the Government, he could ask for a dungeon!
One of the things that he had been thinking about on his last day in prison was how he would be getting a chance to go inside a Dungeon. After all, safe dungeons are either controlled by Big Organization or by the Government. If he were to go inside any uncontrolled Dungeon, it would only mean death.
Perhaps... Having signed the contract was a blessing after all!
"Then... Agent Patel, can you give me a chance to go inside a Dungeon?"
Agent Patel showed a smirk towards Eirik before replying.
"Yes, I ca definitely do that. I could also accompany you hunting down Monsters."
It seems like the problem he had been troubling him was now solve. With the time ticking, he should go inside a dungeon as soon as possible.
"Agent Patel... When is the soonest time you can schedule for me to go in a dungeon?"
Eirik carefully ask this. Currently, dungeons could only be accessed in two ways after booking a schedule with it.
There are some Big Organizations that let Newbie Awakened, not affiliate with them, go inside the Dungeon with a fee.
However, they needed to be together with a batch of hundred people. Usually the booking schedule for this was 2-3 days after the payment.
When he was in the prison, this was what he decided to do, however, there was a minimal chance for him to actually grow his skill.
If he was already paying for a dungeon, he prefer to go alone rather than going together with a crowd.
For the other way to go inside the Dungeon was the queue of the Government without any payment. Usually in this way, Newbie Awakened needed to wait for a week or so. The Government usually give priority to those Licensed Awakened that makes a living by defeating monsters.
"Right now." The answer of Agent Patel really pleased Eirik.
Not having to do anything right now, maybe he should go inside a dungeon immediately. This could also be a celebration for having recently released from the jail.
As excited he was, he immediately ask for Agent Patel to book him one right now.
"Let's go Agent Patel. I want you to take me to a dungeon!"
At the request of Eirik, Agent Patel called someone in his phone and then guide him back in his car.
Before Agent Patel could even start the engine of the car, someone flashed beside Eirik at the backseat. It was Speedro.
"Don't you just leave me all alone in the house. Bring me to the dungeon too!"
