Chapter 61: Mufasa and Fenrir
After a few wild days of training, the night was calm and peaceful. The stars twinkled overhead, and the soft glow of the moon illuminated the cave where **Fel**, **Tiara**, and **Mufasa** sat together by a small fire. The air was filled with the quiet sounds of nature, but inside the cave, a serious conversation was unfolding.
Mufasa gazed into the flames, his expression somber as he finally broke the silence.
**Mufasa**: (slowly) "Fel, there's something I need to tell you about your father."
Fel, still sore from training, turned to Mufasa, curious but skeptical. He had always known his father, **Fenrir**, as a tyrant—an evil ruler of the beasts who was consumed by power. But the way Mufasa spoke now made it sound like there was more to the story.
**Fel**: (confused) "My father? What about him?"
Mufasa sighed, leaning back and folding his arms as he prepared to tell a tale that had been buried in the past for many years.
**Mufasa**: (gravely) "Your father wasn't always the way he is now. Fenrir was... once a natural leader, someone who always supported his kind. He wanted to protect the beasts, to ensure their survival and strength."
Fel blinked in shock. This was not the image of his father he had come to know.
**Fel**: (in disbelief) "What? That's impossible! How do you know all this?"
Mufasa's golden eyes glinted in the firelight as he turned to look at Fel.
**Mufasa**: (softly) "Because Fenrir and I were once rivals... and best friends."
The words hit Fel like a punch to the gut. He couldn't believe it. His father, who had brought so much chaos to the world, had once been close to Mufasa? Fel's mind raced as he tried to process this revelation.
**Fel**: (shocked) "You were friends? But... why did he change? What happened?"
Mufasa didn't answer Fel questions, but he started telling the story.
**Mufasa**: "Day by Day, Fenrir become more and more powerful than any other creature. He beat everyone but still he got defeated by my father. My father the former Beast King, **Murrad** love Fenrir ask his own son and he arranged my older sister **Melissa** to married Fenrir. Melissa is a black female lion."
Tiara, who had been silently listening, leaned in closer, her eyes wide with confusion and shock.
Tiara gasped, her body going rigid in surprise. Her disbelief was palpable as she tried to make sense of the revelation.
**Tiara**: (stunned) "What? Your sister? My... my aunt?"
Fel, equally shocked, turned to Mufasa with wide eyes.
**Fel**: (in awe) "That makes you my uncle... and Tiara, my cousin? And I a mix!"
Tiara's mouth dropped open in disbelief. She had always seen Fel as just a stranger, someone she had trained with and bickered with. Now, to find out they were family—it was too much to process.
**Tiara**: (murmuring) "I... I had no idea... this can't be real."
Fel's head was spinning, trying to wrap his mind around the fact that the two people he had grown close to in recent days were his own family. Mufasa, seeing the confusion in their faces, continued.
**Mufasa**: "Yes, it's true. If Fenrir wanted to became Beast King, strength only is not enough but he got married with Melissa. He was always destined to be the strongest, but marrying into the royal family secured his right to rule. When my father, **Murrad**, passed away, I was crowned the new Beast King, and for a while, Fenrir supported me. We lived in peace for a time."
Fel's eyes narrowed as he thought back to the stories of his father's cruelty.
**Fel**: "But then what happened? Why did he turn evil?"
Mufasa looked away, his face filled with regret.
**Mufasa**: (quietly) "One day, something changed in him. He began seeking more power, more control. I tried to stop him. We fought, but... he was too strong. Fenrir defeated me and took the throne, leading the beasts down a path of darkness."
The fire crackled as the weight of Mufasa's words settled in the air. Fel sat in silence, trying to absorb it all. His father, once a great leader, had turned into the very thing he now despised. But why? What had caused Fenrir's fall from grace?
**Fel**: (slowly) "How did my father turn evil? What made him change?"
Mufasa's gaze darkened, and for a moment, he looked as though he was reliving the painful memories of the past. But instead of answering, he shook his head.
**Mufasa**: (grimly) "Not tonight. This story is not finished, but... it's too painful to revisit now. There will be a time when you'll know the full truth, Fel. But for now, focus on your training."
Fel clenched his fists, frustrated but understanding. There were still so many unanswered questions, but he could see that Mufasa wasn't ready to reveal everything.
**Fel**: (determined) "Fine. But I won't stop until I understand everything. I need to know why my father became the monster he is today."
Mufasa nodded, his eyes filled with both pride and sorrow.
**Mufasa**: "And when the time comes, you'll be strong enough to face him."
Tiara, still processing the bombshell revelation, remained quiet, but her thoughts were a whirlwind. To think she was related to Fel, the son of the very beast who had torn their world apart... it was almost too much to bear.
As the three of them sat in silence for the rest of the night, the fire crackling softly in the background, the weight of the past hung heavy over them. They knew that this revelation was just the beginning, and the path ahead was going to be filled with more challenges and truths waiting to be uncovered.
The night had grown still, with only the crackle of the fire breaking the silence. The weight of Mufasa's revelations lingered heavily in the air, as Fel, Tiara, and Mufasa each sat in their own thoughts.
Fel's mind raced as he tried to make sense of what he had just learned. His father, Fenrir, who he had long known as a tyrant, had once been a noble leader. Not only that, but he was now learning that Mufasa was his uncle, and Tiara, his cousin. Everything he thought he knew about his past and his family had been turned upside down.
Tiara, too, was struggling with the newfound connection. She had trained alongside Fel, seeing him as an outsider, and now, to find out they shared the same bloodline was overwhelming. She had always believed that her family had been destroyed by Fenrir's greed and cruelty. But now, it was more complicated than that.
Mufasa remained silent, watching the flames dance in front of him. He had carried this burden for years, knowing the truth about Fenrir but never speaking of it. But now that Fel had come to him, he knew it was time for the younger generation to learn the truth, even if it was painful.
After a long while, Tiara finally spoke, her voice quiet but steady.
**Tiara**: (softly) "I... never imagined that we were family, Fel. I thought... I thought you were just another beast trying to survive, like the rest of us."
Fel looked over at her, his expression softening.
**Fel**: (gently) "I didn't know either. I spent my whole life believing I was just running away from the shadow of my father. But now... this changes everything."
Mufasa finally spoke again, his tone firm.
**Mufasa**: "The truth is always more complicated than it seems, Fel. Your father was not born a tyrant. There was a time when he fought for peace, when he believed in a better future for all beasts. But power has a way of corrupting even the best of us."
Fel frowned, his fists clenching at his sides.
**Fel**: "But why? Why did he change? What made him abandon those ideals and turn into a monster?"
Mufasa sighed deeply, his gaze distant.
**Mufasa**: "That is a story for another time. When you're ready, I will tell you everything. But for now, you must focus on your training. The day will come when you'll need to confront your father, and you must be prepared for that moment."
Fel nodded, though the frustration still gnawed at him. He wanted answers, but he knew Mufasa was right. He wasn't ready yet. There was still much he needed to learn, both about his powers and about himself.
The fire crackled softly as the three of them sat in silence once more, each lost in their thoughts. The night stretched on, and though the weight of their pasts hung heavy over them, they knew that the future held even more challenges.
But for now, they had each other. And that was enough.
