Chapter 46: After The Kiss
After the accidental kiss under the fireworks, things between Synoh and Captain Elara became undeniably complicated. Both of them found it hard to meet each other's gaze, their usual camaraderie replaced by a shy awkwardness. Anytime their eyes would meet, they'd quickly look away, blushing with embarrassment.
Back with Division 10, the knights couldn't help but notice the shift in atmosphere between their captain and Synoh. With mischievous grins and playful nudges, they began whispering among themselves, letting their imaginations run wild.
**Dred:** (grinning) You think they... you know... did something more than just kissing?
**Meth:** (giggling) Oh, for sure! The way they're acting now? There's definitely something going on.
**Aloy:** (sighing) You guys and your dirty minds. But... (glancing at Synoh and Elara) I kind of see it too.
Despite trying to keep their teasing low-key, the knights of Division 10 couldn't resist dropping cheeky comments around Synoh and Captain Elara.
**Knight 1:** (smirking) So, did anything *interesting* happen last night?
**Knight 2:** (grinning) Come on, you can tell us, we're all friends here!
Every time someone teased them, both Synoh and Elara would flush bright red, stammering out excuses, only making the knights more convinced that *something* had happened. The playful but slightly embarrassing atmosphere within the division was at an all-time high, as everyone enjoyed watching their captain and Synoh struggle to keep their composure.
Though no one knew the full story, the knights' imaginations were certainly running wild, and the teasing showed no signs of stopping.
Just as the teasing reached its peak, Captain Elara received a sudden message from the King. A messenger bird flew in, delivering the royal letter sealed with the King's personal crest. Captain Elara immediately recognized the importance of the message and opened it without delay.
Her expression shifted from one of embarrassment to a serious focus as she read the letter.
**Captain Elara:** (addressing the division) "Listen up, everyone. We've been summoned back to the capital. It's an urgent matter, and the King himself has requested our presence. The details of the mission are classified, so we'll be briefed once we arrive."
The knights quickly stopped their playful banter, sensing the gravity of the situation. The mood turned serious, as they understood that when the King himself sent a message, it was no ordinary mission.
**Dred:** (adjusting his armor) "A secret mission, huh? Must be something big."
**Meth:** "Looks like playtime's over, everyone. Back to work."
**Aloy:** (nodding) "I wonder what it could be."
Synoh exchanged a glance with Captain Elara, the earlier awkwardness replaced by a shared sense of duty.
**Synoh:** "We should get ready to leave."
**Captain Elara:** (nodding) "Right. Let's make sure we're prepared. We leave for the capital at first light."
The division quickly packed up their belongings, and within moments, the festival joy and lighthearted teasing were behind them. Division 10 was on the move once again, with the mysterious mission looming ahead. As they marched toward the capital, they couldn't help but wonder what awaited them when they arrived.
