"Thank you. I'll let her know," Elias ended the call he was on as he walked over to Maddison.
He wrapped his arms around her waist, gently resting his chin on her shoulder to try and get her attention.
"What did they say?" She asked him, her voice a little anxious. Her eyes remained on the view of the city before them.
"It's done. We've moved your dad to a private care facility. Margaret will never be able to find where your father is," Elias reassured her.
A smile formed on Maddison's face as she sighed in relief. She leaned back against Elias as she placed her hand on his. With her father far away from her stepmother's clutches, she could finally breathe a little.
They didn't want to move her father as soon as they escaped from the Walker Family Mansion for fear of being chased down quickly. So, they bid their time. As soon as they were informed that Margaret had called to check on her father, they moved him within the hour.
