Minutes later, they arrived at the Salvarone Family home. As soon as Maddison got out of the vehicle, she was informed that her grandfather was not at home.
"Boss Leo will return shortly. My lady, please wait in the living room. We have refreshments for you and your guest as well," One of the servants said while guiding them into the mansion.
Maddison and Elias sat together on the sofa. Servants brought forward snacks and tea for them. Wine and other spirits were offered but they politely declined.
As the wait grew longer, Maddison could not help but look around the room they were in. The walls were lined with photographs and paintings. Each of them seemingly told its own unique story.
