Maddison looked up. Stars covered the night sky above them. She stood there in awe of the view above.
"Do you see that?" Elias pointed out a sliver of light in the sky.
"Where?" She asked, confused by what he pointed out.
Elias snapped his fingers.
The lights in the bathroom switched off, covering them in darkness. Maddison gripped Elias's hand tightly, wondering why he had done so.
But as the night sky glowed, she began to understand. The stars in the sky glowed brighter than they had before. At the spot Elias had mentioned earlier, she began to see what he was referring to.
There was a sliver of light in the sky. She focused her vision on the sliver of light, surprised to learn that it moved!
"It's… moving?" She gasped in amazement.
To the untrained eye, it would easily be mistaken for clouds moving through the open sky.
"That's the Northern Lights. Looks like the solar flares are strong tonight," Elias explained.
