Another gunshot rang out. Maddison's ears were ringing. But before she could react, more gunshots were fired. She felt herself falling to the ground. Her eyes were transfixed on Elias who had almost been dragged out of the room.
What happened to the man who was holding her hostage? Maddison turned back, shocked to see that the man had been shot in the head. She quickly scrambled to her feet as she picked up the nearest gun and began firing at the masked men.
She didn't care that they were fighting back. All she cared about was fighting off the men who had taken her husband hostage.
"Maddy, Maddy!" Elias called out to her. She was in his arms but her eyes were transfixed on the fleeing masked men.
She continued to fire the gun until it ran dry of bullets. Elias wrapped his arms around her, holding her tightly.
"I'm here love. We've been saved. We've been saved," Elias said reassuringly.
