Chapter 139 - Nowhere

A few hours later, Maddison and Elias disembarked from the jet. They had arrived at an island paradise that could not be found on most maps. It was one of the many private islands owned by the Salvarone Family across the world. 

"It's a little gloomy," Elias remarked as they walked towards the stone castle a little distance away. 

She hooked his arm with a smile, "Perfect weather if you ask me."

Maddison never liked bright sunny weather. Rainy, cool weather was always her favorite. 

"There's nothing like…"

"Huddled under a blanket together by a crackling fireplace?" He asked with a smirk.

She leaned against his arm, "You know me well."

But before they stepped foot into the stone castle, Elias pulled Maddison aside. He held both of her hands in his own as others walked by carrying things that they needed for their stay. 

"What's wrong?" She asked, a little worried.
