"Madame Edith! Madame Edith!"
A maid hurriedly ran through the halls of the King Family estate as sweat trickled down her forehead. When she finally reached the end of the garden, she was panting and gasping for air, barely able to speak.
"What is it?" Edith King asked nonchalantly as she slowly sipped her glass of red wine, watching the gardeners prune the rose garden before her.
"It's…It's…"
"Speak up, dearie," She said sternly.
The maid felt a shiver down her spine. She quickly straightened her skirts and lowered her head as she spoke with greater clarity, "Miss Maddison is here. She's here to see you."
"Where is she?"
"She was at the gates…"
"Was?"
Another maid came running up to them, also gasping for air.
"She's here!"
Edith paused, a little surprised. She put down the glass of wine and got up to her feet as she turned around. Her eyes widened a little as she came face to face with Maddison.
