Chapter 28 - Chapter 28: What happened?

I figured with all those glands I could alter space time but it looks like at my level all I could do was fracture it for a moment. Too bad I casted my illusion and chaos mana in there, because for a while it felt like I was really home. I had a whole day of not knowing what was going on though my body was literally going on auto-pilot basically while my mind moved in every direction away from me. What kind of spell is this? Combining them was my worst oversight but my greatest flaw. I learned some crazy things about puppeteering without having to lift a finger. Kind of cheated of myself for some of those skills too. You learn a lot when you peak into your mind thirty years into the future.

Oh and by the way I wasn't trying to make a magic bomb contrary to what the captain believes I had been just trying to see which seeds in the bottle were associated with which gland so I could move them together. My freaking bad for doing that. I didn't know it would have such a potent effect on reality.(when I started to tinker a bit with the spell structures) I caused microsimulations of everything and when I say everything I mean everything. I had to stop the pressure of one of my glands, because I almost turned myself back in time to when I was in Helmsmouth Cave.

Balancing that spell again is going to be tricky, I'll have to wait until I can at least control the magic affinities to begin research on it and from there I have no real idea what I'm doing. It wasn't really planned, but, at least I feel like the future me has everything in order, that must have been what the chain thing was all about. I wonder if I built my mana for the chain properly or not?

Oh it looks like it's time for the third body to split his body to feed the twelve vessels in the pit.

[Basic Puppeteering has reached level 4]

Master Shikans' presence interrupted my deep contemplation of the recent events. He approached with a calm and composed demeanor, his weathered face showing a trace of curiosity.

"Gravitas," he began, his voice carrying the weight of authority, "I sensed a disturbance in the training area today. The intensity of your spar with your counterpart, it's clear that you're determined to grow stronger."

I met his gaze with a respectful nod, acknowledging his observation. "Yes, Master Shikans. I believe that pushing our limits is crucial for our development."

He paused for a moment, his gaze piercing as if delving into my very soul. "I see potential in you, Gravitas. Your journey in this world is unique, and it's essential to understand the depths of your abilities. But remember, strength alone doesn't define a warrior. It's the wisdom to use that strength wisely that truly sets one apart."

I absorbed his words, knowing that they held profound meaning. Master Shikans had guided countless warriors through their training, and his wisdom was a precious gift. "I appreciate your guidance, Master. I'll strive to balance my strength with wisdom."

He nodded in approval. "That's good to hear. Keep your focus on your training, but don't forget the importance of self-discipline and restraint. Now, is there something specific you wished to discuss with me today?"

I took a deep breath, ready to ask master Shikan "I want to go outside the dojo"

"It's still too early for you Gravitas. The monsters out there are nothing like the monster you fight in here."

"But, Master Shikan…"

"Young one you do best to steer clear of leaving this dojo again."

I was caught. I didn't think he'd find out. It wasn't like I was hiding it, I just never expected to be called out for it.

"Young one if you're that interested in fighting monsters I can always bring in a couple larger bugs to show you what I mean." As he says so I can see him getting ready to leave the dojo for an adventure.
