I wanna check this cell harvesting ability out. I attempt to use it and only a handful of cells come off of me. They're still fresh and healthy still, I wonder if it'll decay or grow. What do I do with this now? Can I recombine with it? I could toss it in the pit, maybe it will grow a new me. I try to place it back in the hole it came from and to my surprise it just falls loose. The pit it is, I lean over and toss it down into a spot with a clearing large enough for a new mushroom to grow. I'll have to do this every so often to advance the skill, maybe it will make it bigger. Leaving a hole where I pulled from. With the hole still there I use my regenerative growth to seamlessly regrow these missing cells over a minute, having tiny tendrils slowly form back in place the missing cells. Maybe I should test the upper limits of this ability. I try again with my left hand and it feels like it takes a lot out of me this time, but I only manage to get a little over a handful. Again I try with my right hand pulling another chunk of but this time feels like finishing a 5K run. Looks like three is my max for now. As I focus on the two spots missing from me, regenerative growth! Like the first time, I regrow my hyphae over the course of a minute. But after a couple seconds it starts to feel like the second time I used cell harvest but a gear harder. So I'm guessing I can probably use that skill another two times before it's no good. I clump the two pieces together to see what would happen but it looks like they stay separate entities, I toss the remaining two pieces into the pit.

[Cell Harvesting has reached level 2.]

[Regenerative Growth has reached level 2.]

Master Shikan turns to me, clearly missing me rip parts from myself… What does he want from me? "Young one you will be learning martial arts until Master K'oija comes back." waving me to come over. "I will be teaching you for the time being until I can find you a suitable training partner. Lets see what you've got" The air was thick with anticipation as I prepared for a rigorous training session. Master Shikan began with a demonstration, showcasing precise movements and graceful technique. The disciples watched attentively, absorbing every detail, ready to replicate the artistry. The mushroom people in the background couldn't help but stop when they noticed. They paired off, mimicking the master's motions, striving for perfection. As he does so, he gestures to me to begin training. I try to emulate the form and techniques shown to me. Without a second beat I already have the Master of the dojo correcting my form. Why do I feel like this won't be the last time he helps me? As I go through the twelve step form I begin to wonder what my life is going to be like now. Will I be doing this kind of training daily or will I get some more real world combat experience.

The training started with a high guard which transitions into a forward lunge with a powerful strike. Swiftly changing to a low guard with a defensive stance. Then for the next couple forms it was a combination of midlevel strikes and defensive blocks. While performing the sixth step of the form you execute a spinning move, which showcases fluidity and adaptivity. The next step was a high block and a sequence of strikes highlighting flow and precision. Lastly transitioning into a final form that contains a huge set of kicks, this one felt as if it was meant to strike balance, readiness and poise, with a finishing move, a series of decisive strikes.

I never thought I would be able to complete the whole set, it must be because I just started but I feel disappointed with myself, I didn't have any inborn inclination towards martial arts. My form isn't good and I can't seem to keep pace with what's been shown. Too bad nothing in the system is recognizing my hard work. I'd love for the skill to auto-populate but it seems like I have to give it more hard work.

As I practice more with Master Shikan I begin to realize the difference in our abilities. He looks like a graceful tiger while I seem to be something of a headless swine. The gap between us is more and more apparent with each passing move
