Chapter 74 - The Little Mutant

Ess furrowed his brow at the little thing.

It was rather bizarre.

It looked like a little black wolf, only, it had six legs and a midnight blue, shining carapace over its back. Its furry ears were standing erect over its head, as were its lengthy, black antenna which spotted glowing nodes on their ends.

Speaking of a glow, the little mutant had three glowing green eyes on either end of its head. It stuck its tongue out, panting.

Curse was initially vigilant, but he didn't sense any hostility from the creature, and neither did he sense any Fint from it. He judged that it was either too young to understand that the humans passing by were threats, or it was simply not a threat.

Well…

Curse glanced at Ess.

With the exception of the Parasite itself, every beast here was pretty much a non-factor in terms of threat, he imagined.

As the rest of the group moved forward, Ess approached the little thing. He squinted.
