Bee suddenly tore off from the sky-watching crew just as Ess finished explaining the small favour he wanted to ask of Brute. She went up to Balm who was being nursed by a few Utility Users and retrieved Binky and her holsters. Brute gave her a queer look.
"You won't be able to keep those as long my Restriction is active, and I don't plan on taking it down especially with Balm out of commission," the Sheriff said sternly. Bee's face turned subtly sullen. Brute then turned back to Ess. "What exactly do you intend to do once you reach the Clean Riders? You'll be endangering this poor fellow if they see him approach with an unknown figure."
"I need you to vouch for me to avoid such complications," Ess said while secretly wondering why Brute and Balm were called the Twin Sheriffs when they looked nothing alike.
Brute scoffed.
