The twenty-six Agents reached the 16th floor and immediately identified room number 198A. With silent signals, they raced towards the door, barely making a sound. Two of them with Utilities best suited for covert operations swiftly knocked out the women standing outside the vacant rooms while two others, with their Utilities, isolated each individual room on the entire floor except the room number 198A; no sound would reach any of the occupied rooms and cause a panic.
BAM!
The door to the target room was busted open and the Agents prepared to engage.
Unfortunately, there was nothing to subdue. The room was empty.
At once, one of the Agents pressed his earpiece and said:
"They were definitely here. They must have seen us coming somehow and escaped. As for the means, it seems one of them does have a Utility related to warping space in some way, Agent Doss."
