Kanaru glared at Adeen before grasping the canned food. He didn't answer but knew he couldn't refuse whatever they gave him. He needed the energy to recover and escape these people. If Middlemist didn't want him anymore, he would just fly back to Burdett.
Without waiting for his answer, Adeen got to his feet again. He started stretching and walked to a corner in that dark, mossy temple to find a spot to sleep. He made a lap around before picking a spot beside Dyva, who had been sleeping for days. Even Jevest appeared dead in that corner.
"I can still feel their heartbeats." Voshiem hummed as he caught Kanaru staring off in Adeen's direction. "It might not look like it, but he's very worried about everyone. We don't know what other countries sold to Markovan for anything. I can tell transactions are still going. That sickly king irritates Adeen. We might take him down after the important ones."
