"Almost catastrophic." Saturn sipped his drink. "If that leviathan king ate both bodies, he would unlock all of Carleigh's power. Since he only ate the soul, his power of curses would grow stronger… nothing else. It's good that Kanaru kept the other one away.
"I know you feel awful for losing both children, but I doubt Kanaru doesn't feel the same. Maybe that's why he's hiding from you." Saturn glanced at Fenris's dark expression. "Give him some time to face his actions. To him, he killed your family."
"If only I could guarantee the leviathans don't harm him." Fenris gritted his teeth. He couldn't help but grab a throw pillow and burn it into ashes with his light. How could he let Kanaru face this alone?
