Eann glanced in the same direction as Sordin did. He saw the same people who looked over at Sordin that moment. He then sighed. "Is this why you were hoping to get a bride somewhere? Your brothers don't seem to have a good footing, either. Otherwise, they won't be trying to make you back off like this."
"What do you know about the affairs of the Lackruth family?" Sordin would bark at Eann's face, but he was in the middle of a dancefloor. Attracting that kind of attention was not good at all.
"My father came here exactly because he knew most of you guys will be after me." Eann scrunched his face in dismay. "Your supposed dilemma isn't new to me. We've heard it before and louder when my father first established Glasswind as a bountiful country despite our distance from the harbor. The trade routes came to us—not the other way around. I'm like prime steak right now."
