The flames danced to the feeble winds, but the humidity in the air guaranteed a storm headed their way. Since Krillman's buildings were compromised, Fenris expected an awful experience during the rain. Then again, this was what Burdett had become. He didn't even know when they could advance to the real country where these people belonged.
Unlike what Fenris and Amon preferred, the woman stayed inside their smallish tent. She only had the cover hanging behind her to conceal the situation from more soldiers. Even if Amon glanced at her more than necessary, the woman just stayed quiet as she froze in time. She would have freaked Amon out if her eyes didn't blink every few seconds.
"…did you enjoy the show? Doesn't your intended care about you staying around half-naked men?" Amon laughed as he was finally done with patching up the poor ward.
