It sounded strange even for Dio. He snorted in response. "He had been here for a month. You should have run into him or heard about him messing up an entire night of your work. Regardless, I'll be off. Try to act as demure and warm as Fenris really is."
"If I do, they'll take advantage of him." Rodnir only huffed softly before proceeding on his way to the king's study. Every time Fenris had to leave for long hours, Rodnir would just stay there at every waking hour. No visitors would be allowed to meet Fenris, even his distant relatives that Rodnir feared. It didn't matter what Fenris thought about it—it was all to protect an important secret of the throne.
Rodnir soon arrived in the study and settled down on the chair. Something about it made him itchy and excited to leave. Then again, a lot of books and papers needed to be reviewed and signed. He needed to start working as soon as he finished stretching a little.
