Part: 1
Inei's heart pounded against his ribcage like a frantic drummer as he sprinted through the dense field, his breath coming in ragged gasps. His feet pounded against the soft earth, each step a desperate plea for escape. But no matter how fast he ran, the creature behind him gained ground with every passing moment.
Suddenly, his foot got caught on a stone hidden beneath the tall grass, and he tumbled forward, the wind knocked out of him as he crashed to the ground. Dirt and grass clung to his clothes as he desperately scrambled to his feet, adrenaline coursing through his veins, urging him to keep moving.
With glances looking back over his shoulder every three to five steps forward,Inei's blood ran cold as he saw the grotesque creature closing in, its slimy form undulating with a sickening rhythm. Panic surged through him as he realized the danger he was in. He had to keep going.
"what the hell is that thing?" Inei gasped, his voice tinged with fear as he pushed himself up from the ground.
"It's a manifestation of your deepest fears, young Kamado," Erebus's voice echoed in his mind, calm and authoritative. Inei's eyes widened in shock as he stumbled backward, his mind reeling with disbelief but he had other more pressing matters to deal with which were more urgent that the voice inside him.
"But we can't let it catch us. You need to get up and run!"Erebus exclaims loudly.
With a surge of determination, Inei pushed himself to his feet, his muscles screaming in protest as he resumed his frantic sprint through the field. Each breath was a struggle, his chest tightening with every gasp for air. But still, he ran, driven by fear and desperation.
As he burst out onto the road, the bright lights and bustling crowds of Tokyo assaulted his senses. People gave him wide berths, casting wary glances in his direction as he stumbled past, his eyes wild with terror.Other people could not see what he was seeing as he runs for dear life .And that made him look more like a mad man.
"Find somewhere, anywhere!" Erebus's voice echoed inside his head, urgent and commanding. "We need to lose it!"
Inei's mind raced as he scanned the crowded streets for a place to hide. But everywhere he looked, there were people—too many people. There was nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.
"Think, Inei, think!" Erebus's voice grew more insistent, more desperate. "Find an alley, a deserted building—anything!"
Gritting his teeth, Inei veered off the main road, ducking into a narrow alleyway between two towering skyscrapers. But as he turned to face the dead end, he realized his mistake.
The creature loomed before him, its slimy tendrils writhing in anticipation as it cornered him against the cold brick wall. Inei's heart sank as he realized he had nowhere left to run.
Desperation clawed at his chest as he scanned the alley for anything, anything at all that could help him. And then he saw it—a gleaming metallic pipe lying discarded on the ground.
With a fierce cry, Inei snatched up the pipe, swinging it at the creature with all his strength. But to his horror, the creature merely split in two, each half reforming into a perfect copy of the other.
Panic surged through him as he realized the futility of his efforts. "What now?" he growled through gritted teeth, his knuckles white as he clutched the pipe.
"Knock yourself out, Inei!" Erebus's voice boomed in his mind, urgent and commanding. "Hit yourself on the wall or with the pipe!!"
"What?,no way!!"Inei spat with instant defiance.
"Do you want to die, young Kamado?"
"No !! I don't want to die but that is what will happen if I knock myself out"
"Just do it!!"
"No!!"
But even as he spoke, he felt his body betraying him, moving of its own accord as Erebus fought for control. They struggled against each other, two minds locked in a battle for dominance as they dodged and weaved between the snapping jaws of the twin creatures.
And then, in a flash of movement, Inei stumbled, his head connecting with the hard pavement with a sickening thud. Darkness rushed in to claim him, his vision fading to black as the world slipped away.
The last thing he heard was Erebus's voice, distant and fading, as he surrendered to unconsciousness , oblivion consuming him.

Part :2
Location: Tokyo skytree
Time. :9:30Am
(20 minutes before Inei's
encounter with a legion. )
Detective Asahi Daiki and Detective Haruto Akimitsu stepped out of the Tokyo Skytree, their expressions weary and grim. The neon lights of the city sprawled out before them, casting an eerie glow over the bustling streets below.
"Another long day," Asahi muttered, running a hand through his tousled hair. "I swear, they're working us to the bone."
Haruto nodded in agreement, his shoulders slumping with exhaustion. "And did you see the latest report? The number of towers filled with legions has been rising again. It's like they're multiplying overnight."
"It's absurd," Asahi grumbled, his frustration palpable. "And to top it off, we're understaffed as usual. We barely have enough manpower to handle the usual cases, let alone these escalating tower clearances."
Haruto's jaw clenched in irritation. "And don't even get me started on Aomine. Refusing our offer like that... the nerve."
As they approached their unmarked car, the two detectives exchanged a weary glance, their thoughts heavy with the weight of their responsibilities. With a resigned sigh, Asahi slipped into the driver's seat, while Haruto settled into the passenger side.
As they drove towards Seisen High School, where the tower was supposed to be,a sense of foreboding hung in the air, the tension between them clearly visible. The streets grew darker as they neared their destination, the towering skyscrapers casting long shadows over the deserted alleyways below.
"Hey, do you sense that?" Haruto's voice was low, his gaze fixed on the darkness ahead.
Asahi's grip tightened on the steering wheel as he felt the familiar prickling sensation of Kai energy nearby. "Yeah, I feel it too. It's... ominous."
Their instincts guiding them, the detectives turned into a narrow alley between two skyscrapers, their eyes scanning the shadows for any sign of danger.
"We should proceed with caution," Asahi cautioned, his voice low as he brought the car to a stop.
Haruto nodded in agreement, his hand hovering over his holster. "Agreed. Let's see what's going on."
They approached the young man cautiously, their senses on high alert as they took in the swirling black mass of Kai energy surrounding him.
"Excuse me, sir," Asahi called out, his voice firm but non-threatening. "Are you alright? We couldn't help but notice the energy around you."
The young man turned to face them, his eyes obscured by the darkness of his surroundings and the ominous Kai engulfing him. "I'm fine," he replied, his voice flat and emotionless.
Haruto exchanged a glance with Asahi, a silent question passing between them. Something wasn't right about this situation, and they both knew it.They both thought that he looked somehow familiar .
"Can we help you with anything?" Haruto asked, his tone carefully neutral.
But before the young man could respond, he turned and walked towards the door set into the wall behind him. They appeared out of nowhere as it was the nature of towers.A mysterious new phenomenal that started causing chaos in the world a few decades ago.
with a sense of dread, the detectives watched as he disappeared into the darkness of the tower beyond.
"What do you think, Asahi?" Haruto's voice was tight with concern as they approached the door cautiously.
Asahi shook his head, his expression troubled. "I don't know, Haruto. But something tells me we're about to find out."
Looking out, they could see splattered remaining of what they recognized as a legion.
"What!!! "Asahi exclaimed looking at a sight so gruesome he almost lost his breakfast.
"Did you see any weapon on him Asahi?"
"No, did you?"
"But that would mean that he slayed it with bear hand!!"
The detectives looked at each other and both swallowed saliva all the while psyching each other up as they follow in pursuit into the tower.
