Pete was surely a beast.
His usual dark smirk appeared on his face as he made eye contact with Cari while the dog continued barking. His presence was too powerful for the dog and Cari sensed that.
Pete has been taking a stroll, moving from one street to another, sometimes using his werewolf speed for easy and swift movement. He saw few things that interest him for a few seconds and bore him out after the seconds is over.
He was thinking of going back to his new home when his sharp wolfy eyes caught Cari's red hair but she didn't see him as she was engrossed in her conversation with her friend.
The dog tried to give a sign and Pete could swear Cari was communicating with the dog.
Communication with animals was not what all werewolves could do. Only those who had taken an intensive study of animals can give commands to animals to some extent.
But Cari is not a werewolf, is she?
