{THIRD PERSON POV}
As Pixie walked away from Pete, she hoped he gets the healing he needs as she could see that he was really in pains. Emotional pains.
Pete was at his niece's place already. He had left the packhouse as early as possible so he could reach here early before Brie, his niece goes out to work.
They sat on the on the same couch, absentmindly watching the TV. They have a lot on their minds but they wanted to think deep about the questions racing around their brain before they blurted them out.
"How's my dad?" Brie asked Pete, starting the conversation.
"He is hale and healthy just as you saw yesterday" Pete answered, his mind flashing back to the mating ceremony held for Pixie and his nephew.
"Hm" Brie smirked. "How did he take your leave announcement?"
Pete shrugged. "He took it well"
"He didn't take mine well" Brie pointed out, trying to get Pete to give more details.
