I rubbed the back of my neck, turning my head sideways. I felt awkward too, but I forgot about that when my eyes unintentionally locked with the vexed looking Pete. I swallowed. I knew he saw the attraction between Barry and I.
My lips divided as he boldly maintain the eye contact. I knew he was thinking of how stupid I was. I was foolishly falling for Barry again when there is a big possibility he could break my heart all over again and then abandon me, especially since a particular Alpha's daughter with red hair was proposing to help him with the Alpha thing.
Pete turned his back at me, cutting off the intense glare and strolled towards the goddess knows where. I blew my cheeks out, feeling down at what just happened.
"Barry, I need to go" I said to Barry and started walking away without waiting for his response.
