As the bridal carrige rumbled away from the Rong family estate, Li Rong quickly took charge of his new fate. He unblocked the closed meridians of his new body with experienced efficiency, allowing for smooth circulation of the Spiritual Qi within his body, providing him comfort even though he had been forced into this strange form.
Drawing upon the latent energy within himself, Li Rong began practicing the Heaven Path high ranking cultivation technique that had been passed down through generations in his Rong family. The Li Rong of this time would never have had the opportunity to even lay eyes on this sort of cultivation technique. He felt the dense Spiritual Qi condense inside of him allowing him to break through to Refining Realm stage 1.
In the midst of his meditation, chaos erupted outside the confines of the carriage a bandits descended upon the unsuspecting travellers. The guards, ever vigilant in their duty, sprang into action, their swords flashing in the dim light of dusk as they repelled the would-be assailants.
Li Rong seized this moment of distraction to his advantage. With nimble fingers and a quick mind, he acted swiftly to execute his plan of escape. With a silent prayer for success, he slipped out into the shadows, his movements graceful and calculated.
The guards, preoccupied with fending off the bandits, Li Rong made his way towards the main attendant who carried the dowry, his eyes fixed on the jade storage ring that adorned the man's finger. With a mixture of stealth and precision, he closed the distance between them, his heart pounding in his chest.
In one swift motion, Li Rong's darted forward, snatching the jade storage ring from the attendant's finger before he even had a chance to react. With a triumphant grin, Li Rong vanished into the night, his prize secured in the palm of his hand.
As he fled into the darkness, the sounds of battle faded into the distance, Li Rong shed his bridal attire, discarding it in favor of more practical garb he had stolen from a dead bandit. He set off towards the nearest town, Qing Town, he carried with him a wealth of knowledge and experience garnered from his previous existence as the young master of the Jade Mountain Sect.
With his cultivation prowess and the wisdom of his ancestors guiding him, he had no doubt that he would soon amass the resources necessary to thrive in this unfamiliar world.
