I woke up this morning after having that same nightmare. It's been two days since I fought Kato and Mia. But I still have that headache. It was like someone was hitting my head continuously.
I stood up from my bed and noticed the bandage on my arm. Come to think of it, I fought Kato with the bandage on. I wasn't feeling any pain from it; maybe I should just take it off.
"My head hurts; I must have used too much energy for that fight," I thought as I slowly unwrapped the bandage. *I just need to rest for a day or two, and I'll be just fine."
I stood up and staggered before falling back on my bed. But I didn't feel this weak yesterday.
Well, it wasn't a surprise to me. Since before I left the lab, each time we trained, I always ended up weaker the next day. It stinks!
"I just have to pull through," I said, trying to encourage myself. But it didn't work. I walked to the bathroom, wobbling like a drunk.
I looked at the clock that was hanging on the wall right beside the door. It was 7:30 am. Shit!, I'm late.
I forced myself to the bathroom and washed my face several times with water before looking at the mirror and recognizing something strange.
For some reason, I have a bump on my head. I didn't remember anything that could cause that.
The water in the shower was making a loud noise, but I could still hear someone humming. Ayaka had earlier been tinted to glass, and now there was a curtain covering it.
I saw a feminine figure in there; that must be Ayaka. She gently brushes her short hair with her tail wagging continuously.
"Maybe I was too hard on him."
Who's talking to?. She ?d earlier mentioned something about a cat spirit possessing her; maybe she could still communicate with it.
"Really?, But why do I have these feelings?"
"I won't call it love, but..."
"No! That is something I can never do."
"But what if it ruins our relationship?"
I think Ayaka likes me. I wanted to hear more, so I pushed my ear closer to the glass. Her voice was getting lower and lower. I opened the door a little bit, just enough for me to hear what was going on.
"Shit!!"
I slipped on the glass as my hand mistakenly opened the door, and I fell into the tub.

_AYAKA'S P.O.V._
I need money! I need money!! I need money!!! I need money!!!! I need money!!!!! I need money!!!!!! I need money!
I don't know how it started, but my father has been sick for a while; he was infected by a demon, and his body was slowly rotting. The doctor said I would need fifty million dollars to treat him since he would be taken to another country for a well-trained medical supernatural to heal him. The worst part of it is that there is a fifty percent chance that he will not survive it. The academy had refused to help, but Miss Tokoyami had promised to help, but I needed to get half of the money.
It started the day my clan was wiped out. A special class demon appeared out of nowhere and killed every living thing.
_AYAKA'S FLASHBACK_
"Ayaka, please, can you go and call your brother?" My mom said. "It's late, and I'm worried about him."
My mom was the kindest person I know; she was so sweet and gentle. Her hair was longer than mine, and her eyes were sparkling blue. She was the host of the demon cat, which was passed down to the female of my family from generation to generation of my clan.
"But mom..."
My mom gave me an angry look, with her face slowly turning red and her face pumping like a balloon.
"I mean Aya," I corrected myself.
My mom never lets us call her mom; she said it makes her feel old even though she's thirty years old. But because of the demon cat, she looked like she was not a day older than eighteen. Maybe that's why she was deceived into thinking she was still a teenager. I always had trouble calling her by her name, but my brother never seemed to care.
"I'm filling out my form for the academy, and I need to seriously fill it out to make sure I don't make any mistakes," I said.
"Ayaka, you know you should obey your mom," my dad said.
"Tell her, big brother," my mom said shamelessly.
She calls my dad, my big brother, making me think they're related, but to my surprise, they were from different clans. My dad was a human who just happened to fall in love with someone as childish as my mom, but unlike her, he acted more mature, and he was very skilled with a sword.
"Okay, Dad" I stood up from the floor picked up my form and gave it to my dad. "Please, can you help me fill out the rest? It says it should be done by my parents."
"Okay honey"
I ran out of the house to the training ground close to an elementary school; my brother usually goes there to train with Elder Ban. He was the one who taught the younger ones the way of the sword.
"Good evening!" I yelled and waved at the elder.
"Ahh!, Ayaka. Have you decided to join us today?"
"Hmm... I'm here for Touji."
Touji was the name of my little brother; he was cherished by the clan because of his skills with the sword, even though he was just six years old. Even though I was twelve and didn't show much interest. I've always liked fighting with my hands instead of swinging a sword.
"What is it, Ayaka?" Touji said as he walked up to me. He never respected me, even though I was five years older than him. His body was completely covered with blood.
"Had you been playing with Mitsuri summons again?" I questioned. Mitsuri was touji best friend who had the ability to summon animals, and Touji had the habit of killing them during their training. "Mom will be angry with all the bloodstains you got on you"
"She would care"
"Mom's worried about you; let's go home," I said to him and waved at the elder. "We'll be going now, elder!"
"Okay, dear, just take care," he waved back at us.
I turned to leave.
BOOM!!!!!
The ground trembled under our feet.
"Where did that explosion come from?" Touji asked.
I looked up in the direction of our house; smoke had clouded the sky.
"That's our house!!"
