I arrived at the academy in Japan, it was a long ride but finally I'm here. I just hope May is doing okay. Don't worry, she is a demon, she will be just fine, but again, that's the reason why I'm worried.
I went to the principal office only to find a female. She looked like she was in her early thirties. She looked at me cheerfully, and invited me in.
"Excuse me ma'am, please I'm new her" I said as a sign of respect.
"You must be Kennedy Henry, am I right?"
"Yes ma'am"
"Please, have a seat"
I walked to the chair facing her as she sit at the other side of the table. I saw a little girl, about four or five years old. I think that her daughter. The girl had a little body and a long black hair, I can even say the hair was too long for a child her age. But again, this is Japan not America. She had a bright purple eyes that just keeps on staring at me. I decided to pay no attention to her.
"I'm Natski Tokoyami, and from today you're going to be working for me"
"Okay, so what else?"
She brought out a folder and a jotter and handed them to me.
"These are your father diary and that folder contains everything I know about him"
"You know my dad?" I asked in disbelief.
"He was more than a teammate, he was a friend" she said sadly.
"But my father told me that all his teammates were dead, if he said you're dead, how can you still be here?"
"That's our little secret, okay?" She said with a smile. "You can go, someone is waiting for you outside. He's going to show you around and tell you all you need to know"
I stood up but she stopped me.
"I'm adopting you, from now on you can refer to me as mom and your new name hmm.... Hibiki Tokoyami. How does that sound?"
"I don't know. Isn't Henry just fine, besides I didn't ask to be adopted"
"Your skills is truly remarkable and when people find out you might be kidnapped and use for an experiment" She said. "You'll need my name if you want to achieve anything"
"I always wanted to change my name, maybe this weekend was a great way" I whispered to myself. "With that name I could really fit in"
I left. I was angry for a moment but I later thought it was a good idea, I should be angry about all she said but really eager to know what in his diary. I can't wait to read it.
I walked outside to meet a blonde dude. He was wearing a headset, slowly nodding his head to the music and reading an adult magazine. He is looks like he's my age and he is publicly reading an adult magazine and no one is saying anything about it, Japan is really something else.
"Hmmm.... Hello" I called out to him.
"Fifty yen to peep and hundred to see" he declared without looking away. He must be one of those rich kids who use money to buy their way out of everything.
"I don't want to peep or look"
"So, what do you want?"
"Hmm... miss Tokoyami said someone was waiting to show me around and help me out"
"Ohh!" He stood up, folded the magazine and forced it into his pocket. He stretched out his hand for a handshake. "I'm sorry. I'm Yaze Hitonomi"
"I'm Henry, no, I mean I'm Hibiki Tokoyami" I said and took his hand.
"That means you agreed to her crazy plan?"
"What?" I didn't understand what he meant by that.
"Natski, automatically offers to mother any orphan that is brought to the academy, she also asked me to be her son"
"What did you say about it?"
"No thanks, I can take care of myself. Besides, I don't want to be with that little brat"
I knew he was talking about the girl I saw in Natski's office.
"Did she adopt her too?, I mean the girl"
"Don't know, she was here long before me" He shakes my hand gently. "From now on, I'll be your teammate" I heard him whispered something that sounded like _i hope you don't die_.
"What did you say?" I asked trying to be sure of what I heard.
"Did you hear me say anything?"
"I guessed I didn't. I don't know, maybe I'm just tired"
"If so, let me show you to your room. Tomorrow, I'll take you on a tour"
"Sound fine to me"
We took me to my room and left. I arranged my stuffs before sitting on the reading desk, I opened up the file first. It talks about some things about my dad that I don't even know.
I carefully read through the file, to my greatest surprise. The woman that I've always thought was my mother wasn't even my real mother.
My dad told me that Angela was my mother, turns out that my real mother was infested with a demon blood and became a demon. There where both teammates, there went on a mission with Natski and she was infested and she lost control. My dad killed her himself.
That's why he left, it happened two months after my birth. Since my father couldn't take care of me, he decided to get married to another who will take care of me.
He studied demons and tried to make something that could maybe turn her back to human. And the end, he had no choice but to kill her and set her free.
I picked up the diary and opened it. It contains all the things he had found out about demon throughout his research.
According to the diary, it said;
**Demons are believe to come from hell because so goddess left the gate opened. But, according to research, it says that demons came from different places.
Some were once human who let their souls to be clouded with negativity, while some are people who died with regret in their hearts while some where caused by the goddess of life, but the strongest one came from hell and can cause the demons to multiply by giving humans their blood.
Some demons are born weak and get stronger when they eat humans or sometimes, other demons.
There are altogether, five classes of demon;
The lower third class demons are demon that appears in deferent shape, they are extremely weak and choose to follow stronger demons and can easily evolve.
The lower second class demons are demon born with no intelligence and don't know how to run away from the sun, they just walk around even during the day and get burnt by the sun when they try to chase humans. There are so weak that even a normal human can kill it.
The lower first class demons are demon that can run away from sunlight and tend to feed on humans and lesser demons to quickly evolve. There are faster and stronger.
The upper third class demons are demon with humans sense of thinking and ability to know different things which makes it a challenge to dispatch them.
The upper second class demons can speak in human language.
The upper first class demons are demon that can use a types of technique or ability, this is something that is suddenly developed, some demons are born as first class demons. They can go into the sun for a short period of time.
The special class demons are demon that are like humans, both in appearance, speaking, thinking and ability. They can stay in the sun for as long as they want. They are so strong that they haven't been a record of a special class ever getting killed.
All demons die after their head have been cut of but a special class demon won't die. They is only one way I know which is using the phantom snake to suck their karma until they dry out but it won't work on all special class demons.**
My father was the first person study demons, but most of his discoveries had been proven wrong.
