I asked because she said she just came out and she wasn't there during the fight so,how did she know it was five (5) girls there?.
" Well I....., you know-."
" You know what nevermind it might just have been a guess right? ." I said becaus maybe I was just being paranoid.
" Ok." Vera replied with a tinge of relief.
" Well how about we go to my room and just catch up to know how our day went?." Vera asked.
" Ok lead the way."
We went to Vera's room and sat in her bed while she talked about how her day went.
I watched her ramble while my mind went back to calmaria. What was happening?.
It was noon so Mom was supposed to be at the dinner room sitting at the first right seat sit drinking chamomile tea and chocolate chip cookies. She was supposed to sit there with her magazine in her hand while wearing a long sleeved dress that showed her neck and little bit of cleavage. Raiden was supposed to be either training in his sports, reading ( yes I know it sounds like a lie but he's a nerd), or probably trying to get in between a girl's legs. As for father, well he had a routine but that was before he became Duke. Now he just runs here and there so he's barely in the manor. I really wonder sometimes why we fell out of ... well what's the word love? For each other? We weren't as bonded as we used to be as a family. The only person who I was most closest to was my brother.
" After that I decided to..... Athena you zoned out again didn't you? And wait... don't tell me I have been talking for an hour!." Vera exclaimed after seeing the darkish glowy purple moon breaking free from the horizon to take the place of the golden sun. The sight of magical. This was one of the few things I loved about galaxium.
" Yes."
" Why didn't you say anything?."
" You were venting?."
" Whatever ..... I'm going to my room now. It's time for our midnight prep."
" Ok see you tomorrow."
Vera and I exchanged pleasantries and the maids came to remove the day attire and prepare me for the night. I was to tired so I eventually fell asleep.
3am
I didn't sleep
I just dozed off for 10 minutes and got up again and couldn't sleep till now. I have been on my phone, answered texts and that's it. I just couldn't find sleep.
I decided to step out and take a walk.
I stood on the balcony, took a step towards the railings, then leaped down, made focus on the wind to slowly carry myself down to not bother anyone. The palace was also huge, a rough guess 80 floors ( I'm not exaggerating). I was wearing a velvet cloak so to cover my face.
I had walked for 20 minutes when I heard a whimpers. I had gone a little bit into the outskirts of the palace.
I was so curious, I wanted to turn away but it sounded like sounded like person was trying to get something as I heard pants. The voice sounded feminine so now I wanted to check.
" Hey." I called on the girl. She looked 15( fifteen). She was a dark skinned girl, black haired,with what looked like purple eyes, they looked like that of a siren's. She was so beautiful. No she was ethereal. She was wearing the maid uniform tho . So she was a maid. I thought for a minute that she was one of the girls selected for marriage if not my heart would have sanked.
She hadn't answered me so I called out again.
" Let me help you?what do you want? What are you looking for?."
" Sorry for bothering you but my necklace is stuck up there and it is very dear to me. I would have jumped but I'm scared I will fall I haven't mastered flight yet." She said with shyness and disappointed. She was shy to talk to me but also sad and embarrassed that she couldn't fly with stability yet. Though that was absolutely okay. She might have felt that way because the average age vampires master their flight is at 9(nine) -11( eleven).
" That's okay let me help you, show me where it is and I will do my best to find it for you." I said to her.
" The 15th( fifteenth floor) it's quite stuck so please be careful. Remember you don't have to do this." She said with thoughtfulness.
" It's fine I want to."
With my sight I looked for the necklace and it was stuck in between a crevice. This was going to be tough. I could leap but I couldn't really hold myself up for a while. Even if I were to focus on the wind I haven't mastered holding myself up. So I had to hold something.
I leapt and held on a railing, I didn't have a strong grip on it but,I wasn't thinking I just wanted to get that adorable girl her necklace. I was so focused on getting the necklace. I stretched out my hand as there was little distance. I couldn't reach so I started swinging a bit to catch it. I saw an amethyst gemstone and I knew that was it. I stretched more to unkook it from where it was . I got the necklace. I was so happy to get it but then I realized that... I was falling.
